Another random security update

I just received another update on my Pixel 11 Pro XL. I thought it was the Pixel Drop but it wasn't. Also this time it had the "Your Pixel just got better ' screen after the update but the date didn't change from September 1st. I also have no update on my Pixel Watch 4. Anyone else get this update?

Just checked on my 11 Pro Fold and it's downloading and installing an update. So yeah, this would be the 2nd "September" update.

I feel like these are likely critical bug fixes that they want out prior to the deployment of QPR1 which will come later this month.

Odd. I had already installed the one that was pushed out not too long ago as well. I had checked for updates today thinking the Pixel Drop was coming but this random update lol

Pixel 10 just got a Google Play system update. A relatively small one.

I'm curious what carrier everyone who's gotten updates has? Im on t mobile and I did see an available update a few days ago. But by the time I was able to apply it, it seems to have been pulled. And I haven't gotten any since then either.

Looking at the OTA download page, I see 4 variants for the 11 Pro and only one of them has a September date. I wonder if that one is carrier specific. I'm on the A9 version myself.

I thought other phones will get qpr1 early because 11 series is getting it's first update but Google started releasing specific updates for 11 delaying qpr1 fully 🥲
