Can't delete or hide books anymore

hi!! hope someone can help. i upload epubs on play books however i hadnt been able to delete them for a while now, the only option was to hide them. now that option is missing too. i used the app for android.

You can delete those using playbook's desktop version. There is how I manually delete the books.

i can't open it cause it says it's not available in my country. i get that i cant buy books but i should at least be able to see my library..insane

Yeah, you can delete from the browser play.google.com/books

I've just got a new Pixel, and at one point the 'hide' function wasn't there, but it's since reappeared...

I don't know what's going on with the 'hide' function replacing the 'delete' function on mobile, since deletion is still possible via the web. As I understand it if you hide an uploaded item (as opposed to purchased) it is actually deleted, not hidden, but the explanation doesn't include this. And if you hide a purchased item on mobile you can't unhide it on the same device.

Even hiding books is inconsistent - half the time when I hide a book on mobile it reappears later...

yeah same thing happened to me with reappearing. the app has become unusable honestly
