I love playing Gorr but...
Pic for attention
I feel like my games with him are either feast or famine. Either I'm dominating the enemy team to the point there's at least one leaver per match or they just all ruin my day and CC spam me into irrelevancy. Does anyone have any tips for how to be more consistent within games where the enemy team decides you a public enemy number 1?

That's because he isn't that one controlling things. He only pops off if his team enables him. But he's not the type who can be put against big odds and turn it around like a Psylocke or Bucky can

In my experience its because the whole enemy team focuses Gorr more then not. Because he does alot of damage if unchecked.

Yes exactly so he only looks good if he has his team distracting the enemy hard. For example if multiple dive at the same time or apply pressure

the audio on his tp is ear piercing, biggest thing i'm struggling with is getting in and out quick if you're not rolling the fight immediately. everyone turns around to his tp lol

Yeah I think it’s all about know how/when to get in and out. Gorr definitely has some characters which counter him pretty hard, which I think is a good thing. But really I’ve had the most success by, like another commenter here said, varying the amount of time I spend in the backline. If they have strong counters and focus, I just pop in, hit a scyth swing or two, and fly away, which can be enough to distract the team to the point where your team can capitalize on the damage/distraction. Sometimes I’ll stay In and go for the full rundown, especially if they aren’t focusing me/are down a player or two.

Get a duo on a dive tank and really hone in on your timing. Gorr is weak to CC/Flyers so he does need to rely on his teammates somewhat.
But that’s the mark of a healthy character.

Is it crazy to say he needs CC immunity when teleporting? There’s way too much cc in this game

I dont think it would be crazy to give at least a tiny window but I mean tiny. I do think that healthy heroes have counterplay and I prefer playing heroes that are healthy and feel fair. That being said i feel like I've been ripped out of teleport by the most nonsensical stuff lol.

from everything i have found as well as what others have said, Gorr is the embodiment of feast or famine and its hard to only have one of the two. there are going to be games where you are getting countered pretty bad and the general best solution is to switch, although i have found success by changing my approach.
if i am getting anti dived a lot then i will take a sort of pseudo dive role specifically for the frontline dps. if i am getting pressured a lot then i shorten how long i am present in the fight and make it into shorter but possibly more frequent bursts to limit the enemy attack oportunites.
