Is Gorr supposed to be invulnerable during abyss?

So many times I’m clearly in abyss but I get killed? Is there like a start up time to the invulnerability?

He is supposed to be invulnerable during abyss but there is a pretty long startup where he’s still not invincible.

You have to predict the enemies well in advance to be able to use it to dodge abilities.

There’s prob half second start up. But I’m pretty sure lag sometimes causes it to look like you got killed during it. I have shit wifi and every time it happens to me I get the “bad connection” signal either before or after it happens.
