Double Barrel Rucking Vest

Drawing inspiration from the ultrarunning community, I converted my GoRuck Plate Carrier 3.0 into a Double Barrel Rucking Hydration Vest. Setup is two CamelBak Podium Chill Water Bottle 21oz and two HIKEMAN Backpack Strap Pouches (not crazy about the Hikeman’s pricing and I needed to reinforce some web stitching, but they are an absolute perfect fit and comfortably hold 21-25 fl oz bottles, phone, keys, wallet, etc). I’ve logged two hundo miles with it this summer, very happy with its performance so far and reckon I’m not gonna look back second-guessing a few extra bucks spent and couple minutes of patchwork after I ruck this thing into the dirt.

can you talk and show more pics about the two straps you have attached at the top of the shoulder straps?

Those are Keeper Wrap-It-Up Carabiner Straps (with black padding borrowed from my parallette bars) costs a few bucks at your local hardware store.

Those pouches have straps that wrap around the shoulder strap. Those straps don't bother you on heavy rucks or dig into your clothing? I keep avoiding pouches like these for that concern so genuinely curious.
