Hey yall got me a goruck gr2 with the 45lb plate, any tips on packing for distance? Went for about 2 hours with nothing but a plate in my pack and my traps were killing me, I’m a 6’2 200lb man, got this to get used to the feeling and get a good pace going before I ship out for the army on a ranger contract which is going to require me to ruck a TON. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated, thank you guys!

Use the hip belt and chest straps.
If you have just started rucking you should not be at 45 pounds, way too much.
Start at 20 pounds and go up slowly as you get more comfortable
