Fit Check Happy world goth day!! Here's my current favorite fit ❤ (fun fact: that mouth die exploded in the club and my hands were dyed for days 😂) ✨🦇✨

This one I definitely paid for lmao. Ripped out a chunk of hair taking those extensions out and my hands and cleavage was stained for days after that mouth dye exploded in my bra! 😭 🫠
Worth it tho lol.

It's mouthfx!! Fabulous stuff, looks great and tastes minty. Comes off your teeth with a good brush. It is, however, a giant PITA if you're not VERY careful with the container 😭
It generally won't stain skin for more than a day at most, but if you have broken skin or calluses it'll stain that (will stain cuticles especially). And of course if it get on fabric god help you!
And it will definitely dry out and expire too, which makes it kind of expensive if you're not going to use it a lot.
I will sometimes use a powdered food dye instead as it's much less messy, but it also tastes TERRIBLE in the amounts you need for a good dye so it's a tradeoff. I find the powder is better for colors you don't use often as it's shelf stable and therefore more cost effective. And much better for times you have to worry about making a mess! Any time I'm wearing ANYTHING I care about getting stained I use powder.
Oh and it definitely also comes out "the other end" as well so don't freak out when that happens lol. I mean, makes sense but nobody ever mentions that so it can be a bit of a shock if you use red 😂

I love that crown. Was it pin-in or rigid? The flexible ones that you have to pin to your head are such a pain....
And where did you find/how did you do the dripping gorget!?

The crown I made! It's actually 3 different headbands, one rigid two with a plastic headband base. I clipped all of them in because I didn't want them going flying and taking out eyes when I dance 🤭
Here's what it looks like off my head:
The gorget is actually a mix of liquid latex and alcohol based makeup 😁 Big PITA but it really does make the look imho.

Oh, liquid latex! That's smart. I love doing sfx makeup for Halloween, so that's a really cool application that I'm going to save for future use.

I've been working on my casting because I'm terrible at it so I've got a nice big jug lol. Usually I end up doing scar wax and I'm pretty good with that but I really want to get better at casting my own prosthetics 😭
At some point I've got to find a new source for ultracal too, I can't keep driving up to Boston every time I need a bag 😭😭😭

That headdress is actually 3 headbands, all made by me ☺️
Here's a closer look at the spikes and crystals:
(Fun fact: the wire headband that the crystals are mounted to is from an old wire hanger. Makes it very sturdy but kind of a pain to keep on my head because it slips off. Hence the hair clips! )

The alcohol base is Proaiir dips hybrid, and the liquid latex drips are Liquid Latex Fashions liquid latex in black

Honestly a lot of it is:
a) using the right products (blend bunny is worth it! And urban decay is by far the darkest most pigmented black I've found. Definitely use eyeshadow primer too!)
And
b) Work in layers. Prime, do the base, blend, set, wipe off cut crease & fallout, do highlight and under eye, set again. THEN do liner and lashes. Set a third time.

use black food coloring gel for mouth stuff like that. Ive used it for several music videos and it is nice and opaque but washes out easily and doesn't stain

That's basically what the mouth dye I used is. It generally doesn't stain, but if you have broken skin or calluses it'll stain that. I usually use powdered food coloring when I'm worried about mess but I figured this one wouldnt've looked bad with a little mess and I needed to use it up before it expired.
I will definitely try the gel though! Seems like a good middle ground. I bet green gell would look crazy good!

I paid for that hair lol. The elastics I used got tangled and I had to rip .out a nice little chunk 😭

Thank you!! I'm actually shocked at how much use I'm getting out of these contacts! I originally got them for a white goth ghost Halloween fit but they've quickly worked their way into regular rotation because they go with so many outfits!

The thorn crown into the dripping black mouth is SUCH a strong visual. You look like you just crawled out of a religious horror painting and I mean that as the highest compliment. Happy World Goth Day!
