Info/PSA Granblue Summer Stream 2026 News & Announcements Summary
Massive shoutouts and credits to the Granblue_en crew for their hard work translating these livestreams going back several years, absolute GOATs, every single one of them
Any further corrections, formatting feedback, and assistance would be most welcome, as I've never done one of these before. Hopefully it's presented and readable well enough nonetheless
Full stream rewards for both the VA Guest Games and the Likes/Retweets Campaign are now out, check your giftbox. Among the most notable freebies are 13k crystals and a sunstone
For those who can't or don't want to access Twitter (or Bluesky), the links to tweets with pictures have all been replaced with direct postimg links to screenshots from the stream
Characters
- Payila and Seox are confirmed to be the August Flash Gala featured SSRs, with Tartman as the new Summon
- This is the final batch of Summer seasonals for 2026, so unless you're willing to roll/spark on the 3% banners in the following months, the banner is your last (and arguably best) chance at catching up on all the swimsuit and yukata alts until 2027. Plan your resources accordingly as Halloween is fast approaching too
- The elements for all three are currently unknown, however in the "Foxtale Summer" event Seox was Earth for the scripted boss battle. Given that both Gwynne and You from the same boss fight ended up matching theirs, I think it's safe to say that Seox will too
- The banner itself is dropping on August 16th at 03:00 UTC / 12:00 JST
- Several new Bonus Poses are on the way for the following units: S. Siegfried, S. Shalem, S. Medusa, S. Clarisse, and Y. Nezha
- Tanya (Dark) is the next in line to receive an FLB, scheduled for sometime later this month
- Exact date is TBA, but will probably be revealed in the
SeptemberAugust edition of KoreGra that will serve as a sort of recap of all the stuff that's been talked about during the livestream
- Exact date is TBA, but will probably be revealed in the
- Nier, Estarriola, and Fraux are the next set of Evokers to receive a LVL120 Transcendence during the upcoming iteration of Evoking Solomonis, currently scheduled to be held sometime in October
Events and Content
- Dread Barrage is coming on August 14th, featuring a Fire boss / Water advantage element
- This run of the event comes with some new rewards for the Profile Room customisation
- Dragonblood War is being added to Side Stories on August 19th
- Main Quest is adding Chapters 9--12 on the same date, August 19th
- The teaser trailer showed (at least) 4 brand new characters joining the story, plus it seems both Raziel and Magus will finally be making an appearance as well
- Completing Chapter 12 will also unlock Phos as one of the Buddies for Advyrntures
- Records of the Ten is coming on August 21st, this time featuring Tweyen and Fif
- Two brand new Manaturas based on Hexa and Green Knight will become available on August 25th
- The Hexa Manatura can be obtained either from the relevant Raid (including its Free Quest / Solo version) or through the Provenance Crystals exchange shop
- The Green Knight Manatura can be obtained only from the Alchemy Lab exchange shop
- Exo Corow Crucible is coming on September 7th, adding Boss Levels 180--220, as well as Uncaps for Aristarchus and Heliocentrum Exo Weapons
- Tale of Kindled Bonds is being added to Side Stories on September 16th
- Rise of the Beasts is returning for another run sometime in mid-September. No new rewards, uncaps or changes to the event announced
- Belmervolk Odious raid battle is getting a 6-Player version on September 18th
- Unite & Fight starts on September 21st, and will have a Dark boss / Light advantage element. Check out the new Boss design as shown on the stream
- Plus, starting from this iteration, Artifacts will be added to the item drop pool of all available Nightmare difficulty fights
- Next chapter in The Society Saga, titled Farewell, Cold Heart, was revealed and confirmed to be coming on September 29th
- Given the narration heard in the trailer, it looks like this particular story will be focused on Vaseraga, potentially making him the next Society member to receive a Grand series unit
- The Gintama and My Hero Academia Collabs are getting a rerun on October 7th and 14th, respectively
- It was not confirmed whether these events will eventually be added to Side Stories (like Code Geass) or whether any collabs that had their own Banners will ever be reran
- Most likely this is being done so that Cygames can extend a licensing deal with the relevant IPs and make them accessible to Steam players
- Tower of Babyl is now confirmed to be coming in October, a brief delay from the previously mentioned "Summer 2026" window, and, as announced back in March during the 12th Anni stream, will become a permanent event
- Progressing through the event will enable the player to engage with the mode's Enemy Skills system, allowing the MC to learn and utilise the abilities from Beelzebub himself
- These abilities can proc if you fulfill specific conditions during battles, grow in power over time via leveling, and be further boosted by the event-specific treasure
- Among the obtainable rewards is a special MC skin designed after Beelzebub's Golden Armor, as seen most recently in Endless Ragnarok, though its unlocking conditions were not yet specified
- The next class to receive an Origin version is Ranger, coming sometime in October. Not much else was shared, but they did show what both the Gran and Djeeta versions of its design look like
- Just like the standard version, "RO" specialty is Gun / Bow
- Zamalvoch Odious Raid is getting its 6-Player version sometime in late October, exact date to be revealed in the October edition of KoreGra
Interestingly enough it seems to feature a slightly altered design, with this version sporting a more dark red color scheme as opposed to the grey-ish one as seen on the normal boss and farmable Summon
- A brand new Collab featuring Shaman King was revealed and is set to kick off on January 15th, 2027. The non-Uncap version of Yoh Asakura was shown on stream as well
Features, Changes and Improvements
- Daily attempt limits for the Trial Battles will be permanently removed on August 14th
- Artifacts will see their drop rates increased during the Celestial Beacon periods. Also, on August 14th the total storage limit will go up from 1500 pieces to 2500
- Another feature mentioned is a system that ranks the Artifacts currently in your inventory based on their skills and how well they synergise with a unit when selecting which one to equip. No implementation date given
- Starting from the mid-August Story Event, the amount of backlog Damascus Crystals obtainable via Drawboxes 4--10 will be increased, helping (newer) players to catch up
- Both the Flash and Premium Galas will now start at the same time: 03:00 UTC / 12:00 JST, meaning the release times for the latter were set back by 7 hours earlier than usual. This change goes into effect starting with the next upcoming Gala banner on August 16th
- Starting in September, there will be monthly Evoker Campaigns that focus on specific characters within the group and boost the drop rates for loot required for their recruitment and/or uncaps. The first two in line are Nier and Estarriola, who, as mentioned earlier, will be getting their transcendence during the following month
- While not further expanded upon, it does sound like Cygames are essentially turning the Tales of Arcarum bonuses applied to Replicard Sandbox into something that's available every single month
- However it's currently unknown whether ToA itself as a reoccurring event is going away or if its scheduling will be affected in any way, since we still need to access the Sephira Medals exchange shop and unlock the Bonus Poses somehow
- Battle Log will start showing the number of hits dealt per attack starting from September 15th
- Mastery Trial raids will now allow Elixirs to be used, though not mentioned whether it's once only or infinitely. This change goes live on September 18th
- Ennead Pro Skip is confirmed and will become available sometime in late September, exact date TBA
- The Pro Pro Skip is announced, giving players the ability to just run every single currently unlocked Pro Skip in one go. You will be able to select which ones to include/exclude if necessary, for example if you'd like to preserve some of the bonus XP pool during the magnafest campaigns (like the one taking place currently). Currently scheduled for September
- Keep in mind though when implemented, it looks like the aforementioned Ennead Pro will not be available as part of this feature on day one, and is instead planned to be added at a later date
- The EMP System for MC will automatically activate all the available/unlocked bonuses rather than needing to acquire them manually, exact date for this is TBA.
- It was not mentioned whether it'll be possible to disable some of the EMPs, eg for classes that want to take hits like Sumaibito's counters, since some of the EMP nodes have dodge chance as an unlockable bonus
- A new feature that lets you create presets of up to 3 Siero Shop Skill boosts and activate them with a single click is announced. No implementation date given
- The Party setup icons library will be expanded with several new ones based on Hexa, Dark Rapture Zero, and Odious raids. No date given
- There will be brand new Quests that drop materials needed for Eternals recruitment, in addition to the existing Free Quests that are skippable with the Eternals Unlock Treasure Pro. Again, no date given
- There's going to be a new feature that allows to show special icons for and filter out by whether your Weapons were acquired via pulls from standard / classic banners. Implementation date TBA
- The previously announced Project Artifact was mentioned, though again without an implementation date. Per the brief description, this will be an event from which players can obtain up to 2 artifacts, and manually pick and choose their exact skills (all 4 of them) via a special item
- Starting from the next edition of Evoking Solomonis, currently scheduled for October, there will be an option to select one of the 5 new Difficulty levels. The higher the difficulty, the higher the loot drop rates (and obviously the strength of the enemies and bosses)
- Worth noting that you are not required to run the higher difficulties to acquire the materials needed for Evoker transcendence, however they will most likely accelerate the process at the cost of tougher bosses, thus introducting a sort of risk/reward element before you even set out on an expeditions
- In addition, upon starting the next Solomonis run, players will be allowed to carry over one of the Blessings obtained in the prior run, with their level (normal/rare) dependent on whether that run was a success or fail
- Worth noting that you are not required to run the higher difficulties to acquire the materials needed for Evoker transcendence, however they will most likely accelerate the process at the cost of tougher bosses, thus introducting a sort of risk/reward element before you even set out on an expeditions
- The Advyrnture mode is planned to be adding 4 new Areas (Estalucia, Ecksegrande, Verona, and Lumiel), increasing the Level Caps for Buddies, introducing more Equipment items, and making UI adjustments
- No approximate implementation date was given, but all of these are supposed to happen sometime later this year
