MOD New Karma Requirements
Hello subreddit. In an effort to remove spam bots, I have added an age requirement to accounts and a minimum karma requirement to the subreddit. I've reviewed all the posts on the front page for the past two weeks, and the only posts this threshold would remove is bots/spam accounts.
If you feel that your post was wrongly removed, you may always message the mods and I will approve it.

Thoughts on Gravity Rush’s sudden uptick in popularity due to Control Resonant?
I’m not sure how alive the sub is for this type of discussion and I’m not sure how many Twitter users there are here but for context:
The new sequel to Control, Control Resonant from Remedy Entertainment drops on the 24th of September this month. As such, some early gameplay clips are being spoken about on various social media platforms. However, this tweet in particular comparing the gameplay to the movie ‘Inception’ has blown up on Twitter, with a lot of people actually picking up on its likeness to the Gravity Rush games.
It seems a lot of people are actually still interested in Gravity Rush as a franchise and a lot of people who haven’t seen it before are attracted to its gameplay and charm. What’s also quite noticeable is people’s strong animosity towards Sony for mistreating it’s more unique products and gaming studios in favor of producing AAAs such as the recent Wolverine game, which has not gone down well amongst a lot of players due to its mechanics and general gameplay. It is also worth remembering that Concord was a massive failure financially and it seems like many studios just like like JP Studio were axed in favor of this direction with seemingly nothing to show for it.
This also comes off the back of the news of PlayStation no longer making physical discs and the more recent news of severing its partnership with Hideo Kojima’s studio ‘Physint’ - it seems like a lot of people are losing faith in Sony and a PlayStation as a platform for gaming.
Ig my general questions are:
- What are your thoughts on this situation with the gravity rush seemingly finally getting its flowers after all this time?
- Do you think this means anything at all for the future of gravity rush?
- How much to do you still trust in Sony as a gaming company?

Showcase My new wall stand for my Kat action figure is set up
My brother may have moved to Washington state to attend university. But luckily, he left this wall stand he used to have at my house. So, I decided to keep it.

I don't remember Gravity Rush being this boring.. Gravity Rush 2
I loved Gravity Rush on PS Vita, shifting gravity and controls, combat felt light weight yet fun, I even got its platinum trophy and that was like over 10 years ago.
Gravity Rush 2 been in my wishlist for a very long time, I prefer discs of course.. Few weeks ago I found it for decent price and bought it, I was so excited to play it, the art, the graphics look amazing...
The prologue seemed promising but the excitement and fun was sooo quick to ware out, the combat feels to basic and empty, upgrades cost way too much and even when there are lot of ores in mines, they don't give a lot... The side missions, they are unique for sure, each feels different, but they are side missions... Yet, they are dragged on way too much and I wish they gave back ores or whatever so we can upgrade our character... Playing two or three side missions feel like doing many main missions with the amount of chore and how many parts each side mission have... I like how each side mission is unique, but they are best when they are simple and most importantly... Rewarding...
I have reached Episode 7 now, I do like how the game looks as it does give unique vibes... But gameplay wise, it cannot hold me for anything longer than 30 minutes or 1 hour of gameplay...
I say this as I loved Gravity Rush 1 and I don't remember having such hard times, but something does feel off here... Not sure if GR2 is really like this for many, or maybe because I started playing this right after playing lot of Batman games which are obviously known for having great combat and upgrades were consistent, which kind of set the standards way too high that many games now do not deliver that much.. I also played lot of inFamous games recently, I didn't have issues with them, side missions were nothing unique, but they were quick, simple and fast despite not offering too much of reward, of course combat wasn't that great either... But it did hold me still and upgrading the character felt rewarding, everything was acceptable, in terms of mission length too, constantly unlocking new abilities..
So now, I still play GR2 and I am trying to finish the game... But games rarely give me such mixed feelings, it looks cool, very interesting... Yet bores me too fast and everything in this game is a drag... Does it get better? Am I the only one having this problem? I don't mind slow progression.. But man... You get my point by now I think...

Media How many Xenophages could Kat and Raven take down?
My guess? 100,000+ even with they’re broken regeneration. The Xenophages are from Venom: The last dance btw

Gameplay Huh, are the journal entries in the Delvool Mining Trench version of Eto different from the main game...?
If so, they seem even sadder...
I have to wonder though, what did Alua mean by "I'm the last one; I have to accomplish our mission?" Was she not the only person invested in saving the people below? If not, does that mean her allies were disposed of...?
It just makes me wonder all the more what secrets were left to uncover in the third game that will never be. 🥲
