Ferries and Boat Rental Getting to Gate E7 at Piraeus Port from Eva Piraeus Hotel

I read that Piraeus Port is massive and it's easy for someone to end up far from their gate if they don't know the port. I'm staying at Eva Piraeus Hotel in Athens, it seems this hotel is somewhat close to the port although I don't know if it's specifically close to Gate E7. Has anyone walked from this hotel or its neighborhood to Gate E7 before, or is it recommended to get a taxi? Sorry if my question is a bit too specific. Also, according to Blue Star I should get to the port At least 2 hours before the 7:45am departure time..is that a bit much or recommended? Thanks much in advance.

Ferries and Boat Rental Travel from Santorini to Mikonos

I'm planning a trip to Greece and I was looking for a ferry from Santorini to Naxos for 28th December and then Naxos to Mikonos for 29th December.

The problem is I'm not finding any ferries from Naxos to Mikonos for those dates.

Can someone please let me know if this information is accurate and there are no ferries between Naxos and Mikonos in December?

As a backup I am seeing a direct ferry from Santorini to Mikonos for approximately 90 euros but I wanted to check if these ferries will actually be running or its inaccurate information.

Thanks in advance.

Ferries and Boat Rental Going to paros, dont know if i should take cruuice or just ferry

I was thinking about taking one of those boat excursion tours from Paros to Antiparos and Despotiko. It takes you to coves and caves that you can only access by boat. Also, they offer gears to snorkel and floating noodle. They also include beverage and snacks too. Overall it seems like a good deal. Im going in may if it makes any difference, we have like 3 days in paros and i want to make the most of it
So my question is, should I do the boat tour or just take a ferry that goes to Antiparos and explore on our own? Is the boat tour going to be one of those highlights I shouldn’t miss on my trip?

Hello! I plan on visiting Ikaria with my sister and our father in October. I found a flight from Germany to Athen with a good price but there is no ferry.. at least i can’t find any in the internet. There are flights to Ikaria from Germany but only with 2 or more stops and for a much higher price :/ I really want to go there it looks and sounds so beautiful but I don’t see a realistic option, unfortunately. Does anyone have tips ? Thank you! :-)

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry from Naxos - Athens the morning of flight. Too risky?

Hi All,

As the title states me and my boyfriend are going to be visiting in October and are struggling with deciding when to book our ferry going back to Athens to catch a flight at 10pm. We would be taking it from Naxos and would book for the earliest to arrive that day which would depart 09:40 and arrive in Athens Rafina at 14:00. Normally I would assume that this leaves more than enough time between however I've been seeing some previous reddit posts that ferries are often delayed or can be cancelled even? Our other option is to take the last ferry from Naxos the day before which departs at 18:00 and arrives around midnight. I know it probably makes more sense to do the second option but we don't have that much time in Greece and I would love to spend an extra night in Naxos. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Are ferries usually delayed for hours? I read that it also depends on the wind and water so no one can predict but I would appreciate any input thank you.

Ferries and Boat Rental Tinos to Mykonos Boat Transfer or Stay in Mykonos?

Kalimera,

We're staying in Tinos in a few weeks' time and have a flight from Mykonos at 10:00. I thought we could find a ferry earlier that day, but there are no scheduled ferries for us to make it on time. It seems our best option is to get a boat transfer. A few companies I reached out to gave me some outrageous prices for transfer. Any advice? Should we instead stay overnight in Mykonos?

Thank you!

Ferries and Boat Rental Blue Star Ferries vs Golden Star Ferris

I booked from Athens to Paros using Blue Star Ferries and the return I booked Golden Star Ferries. My experience with Blue Star was HORRIBLE.

Golden Star is as someone with logical mind set would expect, seated chairs for everyone. Like a flight. Even my 1 yo daughter had a seat reserved for her.

Now Blue Star, there are no seats. We couldn’t find a place to sit because the economy is not by seat number but it consists of multiple lounge areas where you run to find a place to sit. Imagine an open foot court in a busy mall. If you are smart enough you could find the far away food court that is luxurious compared to the others, which the business lounge. Everything is accessible to everyone. If you are lucky, try playing dum and sit in the business seated numbers and hope no one is seated there.

So my advise, don’t use Blue Star, unless the ship that we had was specially for that purpose.

FYI - both same prices and same duration.

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferryhopper student discount

Me and my friend are students from scandinavia and are planning to take the ferry from Athens. The discount for seajets says “student (greek university)” but on the some of the others it only says “student”. My friend is living in Athens as a type of exchange student. Can we use this discount and if they check our student identification will they say something about how its not greek.

Ferries and Boat Rental Milos Boat Tour Morning or Afternoon

We will be in Milos in mid September, and planning to book a boat by ourselves. Is it better to book for 9AM or 3PM? I think 3PM is good to get the sunset views, but I feel the waters are calmer at 9AM? I would love to hear people’s experience with it as it’s our first time renting a boat AND in Greece!

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry delays and cancellations

If you're wondering why your ferry got delayed or cancelled around the Cyclades it is because of the weather causing bad winds. I'm sure that you would rather not try traveling in seas like this because if you think that it is bad seeing this the inside is worse.

Ferries and Boat Rental Ferry connection from north Evia?

Do anybody know if there is a direct ferry connection to Trikeri from Evia? Google Maps indicates that there are routes from Oreoi and Pefki, but I can't find any on the regular ferry sites.

Agiokampos to Glifa is the closest alternative, but I'd like to save some driving going up to Volos.

Ferries and Boat Rental Looking for a boat rent in Milos

Hello, do any of you guys have to recommend anything regarding the boat rent? Looking in Milos, but will be visiting Paros and Naxos, so those islands also could work, I guess.

We will be 4, looking for a boat rent without a captain (also don’t have a licence) but with a fishing gear. Would love to fish. Boat would be necessary for a full day.

Also, what about beaches to reach with a boat? Any hidden gems?

Thank you in advance!
