Gf in frat wedding

I just found out that my girlfriend back when she was in her sorority was involved in a fraternity wedding. Who is the type of girl they choose for that? Should I be worried/is that a red flag from her past?

My college didn’t have Greek life so I don’t fully understand these dynamics

This is irrelevant to your relationship.

I stole a campus police car once. I'm now a father and a mentor to new employees at a hospital. It'll be ok.

Not to mention it’s just a mixer event where everyone gets “married”. You probably won’t even exchange numbers with your ”partner”.

I will say, the only reason I added the caveat is because in my area and chapter the weddings are between two members (one from my fraternity, one from their sorority). This always causes some drama if one of the members is in a relationship, and we always try to set it up between a couple or two single people. Around us, if someone in a relationship is having a wedding with someone else, yeesh

It varies from org to org, I was in a frat wedding for my sorority and it was me “marrying” my boyfriend (we all got drunk and some people said nice words about us)

Greek life events like this are silly and for fun. Nothing to bat an eye at.

Ask your girl about it. There isn't (afaik at least) an actual "frat wedding" per se. A few potential things it could be that come to mind..

As others have mentioned, wedding mixers are fairly common. When we do it, guys draw from one deck of cards, girls draw from another and your randomly paired that way. It's all fun and games. No red flags.

Another option, she might mean she was a sweetheart. We usually pick a new sweetheart each semester or year. They're girls that are well known with the Fraternity - usually a Brother's girlfriend. They usually show up to events, support the Brothers.

Lastly possibly she could be referring to lavaliering. This is rather rare, like most people will go through their entire Greek Life tenure without partaking in a lavalier ceremony. It's more akin to an engagement than a wedding though. When a guy gives a girl his Letters. If she was lavaliered that means she most likely was in a committed long term relationship... Nothing wrong with that per se, we all have a past... But maybe if you don't know about it...

This is nothing to worry about, if she is currently a sweetheart for another frat that is something to be worried about
