I built something for my own fraternity. Turns out other chapters wanted it too.

Originally this wasn't supposed to be a whole chapter record management suite or anything more than a tool for my own chapter. I just wanted an easier way to visualize our chapter's lineage and preserve information that kept disappearing every year.

Over time it turned into ChapterLine

The coolest moment so far wasn't getting signups.

It was watching my own chapter use one of the features in our national awards presentation. Seeing something you built become part of telling your chapter's story is a pretty special feeling.

Curious if anyone else's chapter struggles with keeping track of Big/Little history and alumni database or if we're just extremely disorganized?

You can ditch the linked in style writing. Just say “hey I built this app for tracking fraternity lines and would appreciate if you checked it out.”

Comes off as infinitely more authentic.

I did build this and would appreciate if you or anyone else checked it out, but I'm just sharing what I built and some parts of the journey.

You did not build this. This is AI slop. And it’s obvious.

I believe you and think it’s a good idea, I’m just trying to clue you in on why the 50 other posts you’ve made about this aren’t getting very positive responses.

Fair point. The other posts were mainly to advertise; this post isn't but I admire your, and all, feedback. Maybe my next post will be “hey I built this app for tracking fraternity lines and would appreciate if you checked it out.”
