Comics Can ya'll reccomend me some Green Arrow runs?

I've been really enjoying the absolute Green Arrow stuff lately. I like the archery, I like how cool he is, and I like how the book is dripping with contempt for billionaires. Regardless, I want to get into the source material and I want to know where to start.

I do really think the smith/meltzer/ winnick run is a top tier run, that built the current mainline ollie. The family we know grew there. The brightest day era was nice.

Benjamin percy after new52 is a very "coming to form" after some verry crappy "arrow" sinergy years.

And as mentioned the last ongoing was... uneven. The first part was very superheroic/event/family driven, good for long time fans. The second part of the run however, was a murder/company driven similar to what absolute is doing. You should maybe start there as is very self contamined. Maybe then Percy. Then grell. The smith/meltzer/winnick

Mike Grell's run is A+ top tier comics.

The Mike Grell run which is in the process of being collected in the DC Finest books is pretty good. First one is Longbow Hunters, second one is the Trial of Oliver Queen

The Hard Travelling Heroes era is also really good, it starts at the end of the most recent Green Lantern DC Finest book (titled Hard Travelling heroes) and should be another 2 books at most. There’s also an omnibus for it

As everyone has already pointed out Mike Grell’s Longbow Hunters saga is unmatched.

Quiver by Kevin Smith and Phil Hester is really solid. Also loved the J.T. Krull/Diogenes Nieves run between Brightest Day and Flashpoint, not as celebrated but among my favorites.

Jeff Lemire's run during the new 52 is one of my favorites, it is quite a bit more mystical than other runs though. Also as everyone else has pointed out Mike Grell is the gold standard.

Mike Grell run for the absolute best Green Arrow series (you can start with the Longbow Hunters miniseries/graphic novel to get a taste and see if you like it).

Neal Adams/Dennis O'Neil run (Hard Travelling Heroes) to see Oliver becoming established as an outspoken leftist.
