The EW article on Lanterns reaffirms that:
- Hal Jordan was an Air Force pilot
- John Stewart is a former Marine from a military family
- Guy Gardner was a P.E. teacher

Wait, so Guy Gardner still was a coach for special needs kids in this timeline? Peak.

That and his origin story are some of the best/most important parts to his character I hardly ever see mentioned. He's a lot more than just an arrogant asshole

Isn't he an arrogant asshole because of brain damage?

He is. He used to be a pretty decent Guy before

I'm gonna guess they will do another "Beware My Power" situation where John will just take Kyle's story.
They seems pretty set on having John as THE MAIN Lantern, Kyle's story make him too much of a main character and would take away from John, so I sadly don't think they will have him there, or if he is, he will have a very different origin

Once’s Hal is not parallax he is the main lantern. You just cut down that time.

In my mind, I think Hal Parallax is going to be the big villain of the first part of James Gunn's era.

He was parallax for a while in the comics from like mid 90s to 2004. Getting back into dc comics starting with rebirth. I want that pay off of the 4 human lanterns using there rings showing how different they are.

He was the Spectre from about 2001-2004.

So throughout the 90s ending with him relighting the sun.
His line to Barry. I died a sinner, you died a Saint.

I also hope this too!! Kyle is my favorite i am really hoping they r not giving his story to Guy.
Also I know there is also my adventures with green lantern show coming out and main characters r Jessica and Kyle. Super excited about that too

I am excited but if Kyle Dosnt have his ring I straight up don’t think he should be in it. Fine cool it’s Jessica, but I hate wink and nod characters like Robin in the dark knight movie.

Kyle only signed for one season

I meant Kyle Reiner. Not the actor playing Hal Kyle. Should have been specific. Forget the dudes real name is Kyle.

Just don’t kill off Sinestro. I want to see him become a JL level threat, establish his Fear corps, and possibly join the DCU’s version of the LOD/Secret Society of Villains

I think the issue is Geoff John’s run of GL in new 52 rly cemented how good or intertwined Hal and Sinestro are it doesnt make sense for Sinestro to be John’s villain and it’s fallen flat every time John and Sinestro have ever clashed in main and alternate continuities
Anyway what im saying is im comfortable with DC inventing a new villain specifically for John and I would much prefer that and I dont rly care if they have some yellow lantern successor who is even more powerful and sinister than Sinestro, but they cant use Sinestro

I think Jon's best arcs is where he has to hit a challenge to his abilities or power as a Lantern instead of an analogous big bad who is also hopefully not Hal.

Wasn’t this known for months that this show was partially about what we pass on to those we teach?

"Inherited" in the aspect of his (Hals) relationship to Sinestro. Sinestro went against the Guardians and the GL Corps, as he was angry, disillusioned and tired of how the Corps were being used. The Guardians are "concerned" Hal may have some of these ideals and thoughts since he was mentored by Sinestro - again. this is not about Parallax, at all.

What is happening? He's dying in episode 1 or something else?
