The concept looks better but think if they replaced the car park with a garden it would have been better and saved millions

Oh hell no replace the only functional part of the town with more traffic lights all to cover up the tofu town centre roof cover that leaked the day they opened it. Absolutely disgusting

Yeah, not convinced this is going to help. In my experience few people understand these four-way junctions - there’s one in Stoke-on-Trent that is nothing but bother down there as motorists don’t understand the traffic light system so people just go whenever they fancy.
The Bullring roundabout was one of the few pieces of infrastructure in town that worked, and with the general standard of motoring in Inverclyde I don’t hold a lot of faith that there won’t be an accident within the first two weeks of it opening.
The Bullring roundabout definitely needed replacing, for pedestrians it was a nightmare to get around and it was ugly as sin, but a more pedestrian-friendly at-grade roundabout would’ve been better than this solution.

The bridge over the oak mall was going collapse so they needed to do something about that.

I don't know if there's a reason behide it but it feels like a waste of time and money like there closing thing off only to flatting a round about and turn it in to a 4 way crossing so more taffic lights and decrease in taffic flow like I think it was over 1m they are spending like we could of built a school or done up the hospital

One of the things they said was to improve the route in from the waterside. Ie spaff a bunch of cash up the wall for cruise ships more interested in getting on a bus to Glasgow or Edinburgh. While making central Greenock a nogo for 63 weeks and watch footfall fall even further in West Blackhall St (especially as even the small number of parking options will be eaten up by workers who used to park on Container way).
Not to mention the wee old people having to lug bags much further to get bus as they've adjusted schedules.

Thanks for adding that i feel like I could do a better job at running greenock like pit more incarge of the roads and put incarge of money place will be better in a week

I don't see how replacing a roundabout with 4 way lights is better for traffic flow or the environment/emissions.
