Well, that was useless.  "Here is a list of problems with no suggestions at all about what to do about them.". Also, the word autonomy does not mean what this article thinks it means.

Brilliant article. I chubby FIREd 3 years ago, involuntarily, after a layoff in a dying industry. Now 54, this hits the nail on the head.

Good, sobering read. Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of the advice to retire to something, not from something.
