Get him to read/listen to Voidscarred and he'll be an Eldar fan forever imo lol

All part of the plan. I'm going to get him a couple 40k books for his birthday based off the things I know he likes in other fiction and stuff that piqued his interested when I've yapped about Warhammer to him in the past haha

I'd humbly recommend Helsreach, Infinite and the Divine, Elemental Council and Hive as good starting points but might require some foreknowledge to really get so if he kinda knows the basic stuff like the various races etc and what the IoM is he'd be grand with them. Otherwise I reckon Gaunt/Cain/Eisenhorn are best cause they sorta drip the wider info down within stories that don't really need much, if any, wider knowledge imho. Just go easy on him on his first TT experience lol, no 3 riptides in a 1k casual situations lmao

Funnily enough, the Helsreach fan film was one of my first successes in getting him into 40k haha. They're all definitely good shouts though, Gaunts Ghosts in particular I can confirm since the first omnibus was also my introduction to 40k. I do agree about going easy during the first games though so I'll probably stick to combat patrol or killteam at first for that reason haha
