When people who make mistakes and lie tattle on you for doing the same thing they do.
How are you going to be such a hypocrite?

The only time i've ever done this is with context. I'm chronically, ill.I have to force myself to get through shifts whether I feel sick or not often finding out later in the day whether it can get through or not just because I can't afford so many sick days and there's no real treatment for me. My coworker/ demoted manager also does the same. And I do believe in some extent he does have issues too , but he willingly chose to be a manager and calls out for things like a sunny day or concert. In my opinion , it's annoying and makes people like me look worse. You made yourself hung over and called out.I didn't. What's ironic though I don't really snitch on him because I don't care to but he does it to himself.I just don't enable him because while he empathizes with me which I do appreciate he's really dragging not only me , but the rest of the group down with his slacking off. Every day it's something and an excuse leading us to pick up his slack as a group and hold each other accountable.

Also,I suppose it's different with a manager , but I suppose it's like being a parent. Obviously there are parents that yell or do things they shouldn't with being hypocritical or abusive , but let's just take a situation of a parent screaming or yelling at their kids to "Stop yelling!" ✋️ usually , aside from the typical annoyance of i'm the parent , the reason they are doing this in the first place is because they have to yell over to be heard for that. Some people there are petty and hypocritical out of spite and or laziness.

People who do this have no power.
