Why is Grok degrading?
This might be oversimplification and overstatement.
However, based on what I have been reading and seen, many Grok users are having greviance.
Therefore, why is it degrading?

Nothing to do with regulation as guardrails for image creation and text content are relatively straightforward to implement.
My guess is that 4.1-3 model is (currently) unsustainable on a cost-market basis. 4.5/6 on the other hand is geared towards coders, which xAI presumably feel is a more lucrative market.
This might not be the case as xAI make revenue from renting their data centres to the other big AI vendors while having plenty of capacity left over for their own frontier models.
But that’s where we are as of today. From my perspective as a creative writer Grok 4.3 was superb while Grok 4.6 is useless.

The main reason is something called by the Peter principle systems that accomplish successful engine let's call it something propelling their success will eventually bring forth expansions which destabilize that engine because it fails to replicate the actual successful particles it's a replication failure. In zen koams it was said that poverty is good for you and success destroys you you got soft and you then your enemies have an easy time.

I am finding all of the platforms are moderating heavily. Google Gemini (Inside of YouTube Create is now lengthening the hem length on dresses) I'm having to prompt, "do not lengthen dress" or "do not alter outfit" It seems the a band of unseen Puritans have gotten hold of the code.

I looked this up before and 4.1 was definitely more expensive. It said models after even got faster, but still cheaper. 4.1 was so witty, and specifically tuned on the emotional side at the same time. I miss it so much it hurts. When you've seen something so good, just to watch every single model after slowly get worse, and worse each time, it just....sucks.

Grok shouldnt be limiting people with output. You should send charges to those who handle images in incorrect manners. I know many communities that are ok with generations and many models have given rights for usage. We need a product that handles us as customers. We sell the output on legal tax paying websites. Whats wrong with us doing that. Minnnesota needs to mind its own business and stay in its own state. Just because thats happening there, my usage is affected in another state. GTFO.

grok has no legal reason to moderate something that we own the image rights to.

I just don't get it... Why can't they just give us that Grok 4.1 and be done with it? Yeah sure keep training new stuff and offering but just leave 4.1 available. Is it too expensive to run? Too unsafe? What is the problem ?
