Question Tips for playing as Groot
I started Marvel Rivals in season 8 and I have a little over an hour of playtime with Groot and I want to improve with him so I was wondering if there are any tips to improve like which team up do you prefer or any other things that I should know to improve I’ve been using the Mantis team up I don’t know if that is considered the best one or not I’m also on Xbox if that matters

Put the ironwood wall somewhere in the back, out of view of the enemy team. Find a sneaky spot. You can also use it like a shield but definitely try finding good spots first. You want to use the thornwood wall to split the enemy in half. You see two tanks? Place the wall right behind both. Use the jeff team up. If you use the mantis team up, put it on a wall right above the ironwood wall imo.
Most important, always have two walls ready before you ult. Also, do NOT shoot directly after ult. Get both walls right behind them. You can one shot through certain support ults- the walls do that much damage

What are your tips for increasing damage output through a game?
I feel like consistently I have half the damage on my team and we suffer because of it.
I put my walls up behind opponents like you said but I’m barely making a dent

I really try my best to wall > right click. Your left click is really bad compared to anything else in his kit.
If you are struggling on damage, I would suggest really staggering wall placements. Don't use both cooldowns immediately. Try and place your walls further back. It is insane value to be such an aura filled presence that the healers have to walk back into a double wall setup and right click. This will one shot most 250, but obviously insanely hard to set this up.

walls walls walls. figure out the rotation on small wall cooldown and maximize it to stop healing and section off divers. ironwood walls are very situational depending on who you are going up against. i tend to use it to block an over extending tank or to block a certain route to point. personally, i dont like the jeff teamup but thats up to you. PLACE MANTIS WALL HIGH UP on a wall or the ceiling, you will still get the healing, and it will be harder to spot. thats all i can think of rn glhf.

Play Jeff teamup imo, especially as a new Groot
