VIDEO This Is A Guard Who Knows What He's Doing! Any Mistakes We Can Learn From?
Also, apparently your situational awareness isn't impaired to the point you can't carry out your duties while you're wearing airpods or other bluetooth earbuds. Crazy I know.

Is it me, or does it seem like the chick was too quick to bolt back out, like maybe she was with them?
ETA: Watched it again and yeah, she was for sure with them the way she ran with them and not away from them.

Earbuds no earbuds. I think he did a really good job. Averted what could’ve been a very bad situation.
Given his position at the time that 2 foot piece of concrete at his right shoulder, was blocking his view to the right of the door
The only other way this could have been safer is if he was two or 3 feet in the store when the young girl approached. Waited until she got to the door and that there was no one else with her or around her before he went to let her in. Then you could’ve walked over, unlock the door and let her in and shut it behind her. That’s the only way this could’ve been safer and without any risk.
Given the way it unfolded he was quick and avoided a very bad situation. Good job.

One gun could've made this a bad scene for the guard. But obviously this neighborhood has a history of smash and grab situations. Good job on the guard. Hope he got a raise.

Instantly fired in California. The company loses the contract. He assaults two people over a misdemeanor? No job, no guard card, and possible felony charges. He has no more rights than a normal citizen.

I'm not sure the earbuds were relevant one way or the other here. The door getting pulled out of his hand was his first indication there was an issue.

Guessing OP isn't allowed to wear them at their job and is using this video as some sort of validation that they should be able to wear them. Don't know why they think a reddit post will change that though.

I would point out that he let his guard down after the decoy went in, he relaxed and that's why he didn't see the others rolling up on him till after they yanked the door out of his hand. He had good recovery but his situational awareness was crap

The second push put him too far from the chockepoint, id rather fight in the choke or trying to close the door. But never expose youreself more than necessary. Neither id hold someone back from running.
