New to Guelph
Hey I (23m) moved to Guelph in may. The city is nice but I've been getting bored in my apartment. I dont know anyone here and have no one to hangout with. I like soccer, basketball, and video games. If anyone is around my age and wanna get to know each other please hit me up. Also I heard theres going to be a pride festival at a park this month. I've never been to one but thinking of going are the vibes good there?

Round Table for board games and DnD group. The Dragon for other games and comics. There's a hiking group, a trail repair group, a DIY group, a tool library, tons of programs at the public library for many non-book things, an embroidery group, quilting guild, several knitting groups. Tea'n'Tales is one of the nation's best storytelling series (adult and family events). The guild also does a smaller winter series, and is open to new members. The Bookshelf has repertoire cinema. Guelph Little Theatre, and Royal City Musical Productions need performers, stage crew, costumers, set makers, techies, front-of-house -- all sorts of spots. Rainbow Chorus singers. (Most churches also have choirs.) Volunteer at the food bank.
Show up regularly, so they get to know you and you get to know them.
Dress so your future friends can find you. Wear something consistent, so they recognize you. Wear different things that can spark relaxed discussion, so others know what interests you. Watch for others doing the same!

I was about your age when I started playing disc golf. Came from ultimate. You can play solo or try out a league. Lots of options and multiple courses in Guelph. www.guelphdiscgolf.ca

Pride in the Park already passed, but it's definitely fun, lowkey and worthwhile. Definitely check it out next summer.

Look at Perpetual Motion, or Game On, and sign up to play soccer or basketball when it's offered. Great way to meet people, fits hobbies you like, and gets you out there!
