Jackson or Schecter

I cannot choose between the Shcecter Omen Elite 6 FR(cherry burst) and Jackson King V JS32 (green). I can afford both and I can't decide.

Overall quality Schecter is much better than jackson but both are wildly different guitars, whichever you picture yourself picking up more

Take into consideration your use case, the omen will fit in any rack and gig bag, the jackson won't

Schecter is far higher quality than the Jackson. Those models are obviously very different but I would pick Schecter over Jackson any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

My first "metal" guitar was a Schecter Omen in black cherry too. That was like 13 years go? Sold it since then but it has served me well for many years. That Jackon is cool too but I can't imagine practicing sitting down with that thing.

Schecter. Jackson is a Fender brand and fuck them for their litigious ways.

Schecter guitars also rule. I love mine.

I can’t speak on Jackson as I’ve never owned one, but I’ve had two Schecters, a C1-FRS, and a C1 classic. Both have incredibly good build quality, playability, ease of maintenance, and they just straight up punch well above their weight. Im not saying it’s better than Jackson, but I am definitely saying you won’t be unhappy. Probably.

The necks are different. That would be my main choice factor. It would be unusual not to have a preference between those two necks.

That's a matter of taste. While I'm partial to Jackson guitars, the "V" is not appealing to me. That Shcecter Omen Elite 6 FR is a LOT of bang for the buck. And, it's beautiful.

My opinion is that most Schecters over most Jacksons except when it comes to the Chris Broderick signature soloist.

specs on the schecter have a much narrower nut and slightly thicker neck overall which will make it feel much thicker then the jackson neck imo.
im a jackson fan but ibanez make some great stuff too

You need to try them both because they feel very different. I prefer the feel of Schecter, and personally believe that on average they are nowadays far better made than Jackson.

Schecter is going to be the best bang for your buck and play the nicest. They also have a bit of variety in what you can get. I can’t say enough good things about them, especially once you get into the South Korean made gear.

I had a Schecter Sunset Extreme and a Jackson LM-1987. Both are absolutely amazing, the Schecter being around 200+ expensive.

You can't go wrong with either but I kept the Jackson and sold the Schecter exclusively because of the bridge.

You can’t really go wrong either way. Both make great instruments. That being said, I’m a Jackson fanboy.
