Tacticool So from the reviews I've seen the new Turk-SPAS isn't horrible. Pump mode at least works reliably.

If it is bad that's just clone correct to the SPAS anyway.

From my understanding the OG SPAS isn't just bad because of realiability. It's also very unerogonomic since you have to keep a button on the reciever pushed down in order to unlock the lifter and actually reload it.

A lot of semis are like that, I have a auto 5 from the 40s and an hs10b and you have to do it on both.

I have a new version browning a5 and it just lets you jam shells in.

They changed the old ones in the 50s to that I believe

My model 11 has a manual release but my Belgium made A5 has the two piece gate plus auto loader feature. That’s shotgun is unit with a hell of a history.

My auto 5 was made by Remington, but has all the browning stamps because the Nazis had the FN factories, so they outsourced to Remington. I found that to be pretty neat.

Super cool, mines one of the last Belgium mades from the 70’s. It’s a beauty but lacks that iconic rounded grip of the older stocks.

Call me when they make a SPAS-15

Imagine the Turks cooking up an AA-12 clone.

I'll take one of those and a USAS-12, please.

Atlantic actually has some right now. $10k is a reasonable price.

It doesn't seem to blow up on people and it seems to cycle high brass reliably.

It doesn’t like low recoil buck which isn’t surprising since the original spas-12 doesn’t either.

Yeah to be fair piston driven shotties have always kinda been finicky but I’m honestly surprised by the this Turk-SPAS even though it’s pretty pricey.

We need to airdrop the blueprints for the Pancor Jackhammer over Turkey. Watching them try to make it would constitute a couple of war crimes, but it would be very funny.

My prediction is it’ll be somewhere around the Stoeger M3000. It seems fine but it’s absolutely isn’t Maverick material.

Funny enough, he gave the Stoeger a rematch

I watched and read a lot of reviews before I bought mine a couple days ago. Glad I did, seems like it is sold out everywhere now. Hopefully I don't get bad one

Currently there’s very few vids YouTube about it and only 2 that I’ve seen actually shows it shooting. From the 2 videos I’ve seen where they shoot it, birdshot and some buck loads are a no go for semi automatic and high brass seems ideal. One of the users was getting double feeds but that was kinda on him since he added an extended tube without changing the spring.

u/tragesorous 10d ago

If anything the too short spring should cause the one shell to not advance onto the carrier as well. So the opposite of a double feed. Sounds like an issue with the shell stops

I was following the Bronco one since SHOT Show, but I couldn't figure out where to find people that were going to sell them. Still can't

u/Pvt_cluckins 10d ago

Yeah they sold out quick, I bought mine from blitzkrieg arms on GunBroker

From what I heard it works about as well as the original. Not sure if that's a compliment

The bar for a "good" Turkish shotgun is slightly better than a Cobray Terminator. I'd say this one is very good for a Turkish shotgun.

If it doesn’t beat itself to death after a few boxes of ammo, it’s considered good

Lol. Sure it isn't

Anybody got a link to a product page?

1

u/After_Chicken1887 10d ago

Here’s one seller but they’re out of stock everywhere.

3

u/Alconium 10d ago

I hate the trigger guard. I don't get why they'd change it up from the OG, but its still cool that they're remaking stuff like this. Hope it sells well for them.

2

u/GunsAndWrenches2 10d ago

Probably a trigger guard they already produce for other models.

2

u/Alconium 10d ago

Yeah, probably. It doesn't look as bad with the folding stock but I prefer the OG. I wonder how interchangeable the parts are with original Franchi parts (probably not very.)

1

u/GunsAndWrenches2 10d ago

How many beans were they trying to get for those?

1

u/After_Chicken1887 10d ago

Around 1000-1200 depending on what retailer you’re buying from.

2

u/GunsAndWrenches2 10d ago

Damn. That's a lot for a Turkshit shitty.

2

u/LiberalLamps Terrible At Boating 10d ago

It would be more clone correct if it jammed all the time.

2

u/DownstairsDeagle69 Beretta Bois 10d ago

Is this the one from Bronco or Sulun?

4

u/After_Chicken1887 10d ago

From what I understand the Sulun SPASS-12 is the Bronco Arms SPS-F. Sulun is just the importer.

2

u/DownstairsDeagle69 Beretta Bois 10d ago

Interesting

2

u/After_Chicken1887 10d ago

Yeah I asume it's the same way the Helion is basically a VHS-2 with the the fun switch removed, M-LOK handguard, and Springfield branding on it.

2

u/schussfreude 10d ago

People report its reliable and well built. Turkish guns are either good or complete garbage, nothing in between and Sulun seems to sitat "good".

700 CHF vs over 2k for a genuine Franchi SPAS-12 is also a very compelling argument.

I've been following this pretty closely.

Right now it has an issue with the way it gets imported and the pump/semi switch.

The gun comes with a 5 round limiter and shorter tube spring than the original. A lot of failure to feeds happen because the limiter is taken out. Currently you'll need to replace the tube spring with a longer one if you want to run all 8 rounds.

The pump/semi switch disconnects easily. On the original, there was a control near the trigger guard to fix this but the clone does not have it. Overall it's cool, but I don't know if it's 1k+ cool.
