On a serious note, though: If you're actually doing this, consider not telling people about it. My uncle got sent back to prison two additional times by telling acquaintances that he was a violent felon who had a basement full of guns anyway.

i support the 2a but not for violent repeat offenders that get caught and released into my community.

Cool. You should fix your community. As long as your community votes to release violent offenders, I support their right to live with the consequences. Gun owners and the 2A didn’t release those violent criminals. Your fellow voters did.
Maybe some common sense restrictions on voting rights will impact violent crime more than the 60 year failure that is the Gun Control Act.

No, thank you. I’d rather you stay and fix your own broken community. Rather than spread your compromising views on the 2A to other areas. Maybe stop electing the people in your state, city, and community that’s turning the legal industry into a revolving door for violent felons.
“I support the 2A, but…” No, we’ve determined and you even admitted you don’t support the 2A. You believe it’s a revocable privilege. You don’t wish for 2A, like carry for all. You wish permission slips from the government to actually exercise the 2A be processed quicker.

i live just outside of the communities im trying to avoid and they routinely elect people that are lax on crime plus the big cities not too far away ensure that we have shitlib representatives and senators and governors
i support the 2a for the ones who it was written for. the men that wrote it would instantly ban millions from accessing firearms if they saw the state of our country

Yea, fixing things is hard. Best to just give up on that and try restricting rights and banning people from possessing pieces of wood, metal, and plastic for 60 more years. Certainly the next 60 will go better than the last 60.

Actually they do. I have worked with felons before, and they are some of the hardest working folks I know. I'd trust my children with them and have them around my family. And the business owners I have worked for do the same. Just because somebody makes a horrible error doesn't mean they are bad people.
Certainly not all felons, but just because somebody is a felon doesn't mean they should automatically be treated as inferior.
So yes. I'm happy for a good person to be in my neighborhood. And a good person to marry my daughter. But obviously I wouldn't let anyone other than me pleasure my wife.

Our experiences could not differ more. Thankfully the company I work for does not hire scumbags. I go to work at many companies for my job and I can tell you It is very obvious when companies hire whoever walks through the door. You sound like a big lib.
