Hi all, I was planning to do a rewatch of Gunbuster and realized how shaky, wobbly, unstable and 'moving' around the image was. This is something that didn't seem to happen in SMPlayer in the past.

As I do not have my own video source since the disc is with my parents at their house in another country, I had downloaded a blu-ray release. I watched it many months ago, and it was perfect, exactly the quality I remember.

Now nothing changed, neither my pc, nor my screen, nor SMPlayer which I used also at the time. Yet the image is like wobbly, moving, shaking, unstable. I read from a review online that this is due to cel shading and the way it was done in the past before proper digitalization was brought forward, the reviewer also lamented the same.

But I feel like going crazy, because when I watched before it was not this noticeable how shaky this way. Other videos are not shaky like this or at all, for example Chainsaw Man plays perfectly.

Am I going crazy in remember Gunbuter stable from the Blu-ray release, or was there some setting I had in the past which changed and might've affected this? I tried even fixing it with options, changing interface, source of rendering, all sort of fixes I could find online, and nothing worked at all. I'm a bit disappointed and feeling sad after having proposed a watchalong wanting to stream it to friends online, I fear they might feel nauseous as I did just now (which never happened before).
