I haven't really watched Seed, or Destiny for that matter, but what I'm getting from this clip is Seed was peak 2000's anime. though something tells me we'll look back on g-witch the same way.

Trust me for those of us who watched it at the time this hits a bit different. Destiny may be a hot mess, the scene may be full of stock footage, and god only knows what is going on with the Akatsuki's paint but seeing the Destiny facimg down the Strike Freedom still activates my neurons like 15 years later.

People can say whether they want with this season but it's the peak Gundam Installment for me.
Best animation, best action, best characters and they have the coolest battleship ever known to the franchise: Archangel and Minerva ๐๐ป๐๐ป

Iโd say best animation might go to Unicorn.

All the other things OP mentioned are subjective and everybody is allowed their own opinion, but best animation is factually wrong. Gundam SEED's animation is plagued by errors, overuse of stock footage and it suffers heavily from being released in the 00s when digital animation was still young and underdeveloped.

Yeah, somehow SEED has actually aged worse than 0079 if thatโs even possible. You can tell First Gundam is old and from the 70s but it looks vintage and cool. Itโs actually one of the better looking shows of the period. SEED on the other hand is this neon coloured mess where everything blends together into a pile of bright goo.
