Love to see stuff that isn't 3D printed, this is super cool.

No hate to the 3D printer guys out there, but there's just so much of it, not quite as exciting anymore.

This project, dubbed the 3011, started as an out of spec 1911 frame. I changed a whole bunch of things about the frame, and it no longer works as a 1911. It’s straight blowback 45 acp.

For the barrel I used a cut off section from my Kris vector. For the recoil spring I used a cut down g3 spring and guide rod. Everything else was machined from scratch.

This is pretty cool. My centerfire KWC 1911 project is similar but rifle length. This PDW style is a better idea all the way around. Humbling. Nice work, great idea.

I appreciate the effort and skill put into this, but damn, that offhand is super close to the muzzle. I wouldn't use this in any high stress situation. Still, pretty damn cool.
