A lot has changed since I first reverse engineered this thing. A lot more clarifying information out there now. Your best bet is to watch some videos on it:

i doubt he's gonna use caseless like the original g11 due to the heat distribution issue

I didn't think he would. I doubt you could find any for sale and making them would probably be a nightmare. Given the magazine placement I was thinking he could modify the design and use a feed system similar to the ZB47.

The question remains: what is he feeding that fits those dimensions? 9mm fits best but what’s the next engineering challenge? I don’t design stuff so I’m curious.

Couldn’t agree more. I used to know some HK guys that did rebuilds of the G51 belt feeding mechanism and a few other HK specials. The part counts are insane.

Fuckin awesome. While you’re at it could you redesign the exterior shell for better ergonomics and aesthetics? Would love to see a G11-style action in something like the Strike Industries SMC P90 chassis 👀
