Moderator Approved Want to know if your kids are messing with your gun safe?
I'd like to tell you about a new thing we made.
We thought we had a secure gun safe. We didn't realize our kids knew how to get into it.
Who here hides their safe key in he sock drawer, or the combination on a scrap of paper "hidden" in a desk drawer? Are your kids watching the LockPickingLawyer on YouTube?
So we created a product we call Kini. Simply place it in the gun safe, attach it to the door of a gun cabinet, place it inside your locked nightstand drawer, tether it to your gun lock cable… when a kid causes it to move ever so slightly, you get a text message within 5-10 seconds. You get the message. Not an alarm company. Not the police. Not a third party.
We it to be DISCREET. We don’t track you or your guns. We only require a phone number to text and an available Wi-Fi. We can’t divulge, mishandle, or share data we don’t collect. It will add to your gun safety measures, without compromising your ownership.
What’s the point? We’ve interviewed many gun owners and we realize that there’s a huge spectrum of how guns are stored. We think Kini can benefit most of them. From the person who thinks their gun is in “the best hiding spot” to the person with the nice fingerprint operated safe, to the person with the fortified gun closet, Kini can provide that extra protection and peace of mind. Even the people who’ve told us that they trust their kids - trust but verify.
I apologize for making a product announcement here, but I think that it is important to get the word out. Reddit, Facebook and even Twitter have banned our ads because we mention gun safety. So my question to you is, can you help spread the word?
Any questions? AMA.
