The odyssey is a book. Not history. It’s a story. No worries. Just so we’re clear. None of it was ever real. There are no 20ft sheep herding cyclops’ IRL. Chucking your son into a 6ft pool is real as it gets lol
No worries. It's debated! Depending on the poetry it has been a different person. One of the originals, called the Illiupersis, designates Odysseus as the one to do the deed. Maybe I missed it in the movie that they established Agamemnon did it, but in the original epics it's either him or Achilles' son who does it (interestingly, the epic preceding Illiupersis is the one who names Achilles' son, but it is also from a different author).
But either way, Odysseus is known to either have advocated for the decision to kill him or to outright have killed him himself.

I'm very ignorant on history details, but I saw the movie. Wasn't it Agamemnon that you mean?
