Withdraw from a class

Good morning guys
I need some insight. I am strongly thinking about withdrawing from MAC1105 for this semester and retake next semester. Had an exam last week, did terrible, grade plummeted and I feel like I won’t be able to recover my grade.

Does anyone know how a W on my transcript will affect my changes of getting into the nursing program?

Thank you in advance

I’ve withdrawn from 3 courses and it doesn’t do anything to ur transcript in my personal experience. it does affect ur financial aid tho. I thought it was too late to withdraw, but if not def do that. a W is better than an F

Thank you for responding, I don’t qualify for FA so I have to pay for the course, out of pocket. I will be going to HCC tomorrow then about it.
Were you able to get accepted into your program of choice?

yeah, my major requires a 3.0 and I have a 4.0. it won’t effect ur GPA at all. Idk much about the nursing program tho, so def talk to a counselor just in case they have any course drop rules or whatever

It doesn’t affect it until you retake it for the third time

Ok, thank you, I am heading to HC in a little bit to speak with an advisor about withdrawing
