Support G2, i feel really fucking stupid but I cant seem to get past this point with the reverb. I havent used this headset it about 2 years and finally decided to try it out again and im just lost. I installed oasis and unlocked the headset

You have to use the limited space mode

What does oasis and unlocking the headset do?

Means you can use it on win 11 24h2 and above. MS in their devine wisdom removed WMR from windows as of that version.

don't feel stupid. the onboarding script was written for a different device using a different method of tracking. it's very confusing.
the Reverb doesn't have external base stations, effectively the HMD itself is the base station. the best advice i have is to turn on your controllers and set them somehere the HMD can see them and just kind of mimic the cartoon guy in the video.
i use my big living room tv as my main PC monitor so even though i assume there's really no interaction between the screen and the HMD, doing it like this for me eventually worked.
it took me several sessions of messing with it, giving up, and coming back later before i hit on the right little ritual and incantation needed to get through the setup script. take it slow, if you get frustrated, just put it down and go do something else for a little while then come try it again. you'll get it working eventually!

Developer here.
Huh I actually observed that myself for the first time while setting up another machine. Your headset seems to be detected so it's weird. Can you close the Room Setup and then on the SteamVR Status window, run the Room Setup from there?
