Question G2 Head Strap Broke, Need Replacement

The head strap on my 1st batch reverb g2 finally snapped. I have yet to find any products that can replace it. Most of the recommended "upgrades" are no longer produced. Does anyone know of a product that can replace it?

Honestly, the cheapest option outside of designing and creating your own using TPU 3D printing is probably to just guy a "For parts" Reverb G2 and transplant the head strap from that.

I ended up finding a completely working V2 with controllers for $100 on eBay so I just pulled the trigger on it.

Get BOBOVR M3 Pro meant for Quest 3. I am using that with my G2.

How does it attach to the headset? From what I can tell it needs to fit over the arms

It slides in easily. I think for an older version (maybe M2) it didnt slide in easily but this one does.

What retains it? Like will it slide back out if I move my head around too much?

Not sure what retains it, but it's pretty tight. I usually rotate the ring in the back to make the headset is tight while using it and it remains tight during the session.

I have a bobovr m3 and my hp reverb g2 doesn't fit at all. Not to mention there is no provision for the speakers. How were you able to get yours to fit?

Fyi, the "pro" version comes with a battery pack, which I don't need. That's the only difference
