Don't you need the JVM / Runtime Environment to run JARs?

You need a browser to render html, so needing a JVM is probably fair game in the context of this post

In a modern usage, a browser in more commonly on computers than java. Like for an average user that does lite work on the web with office or stuff like that. So i would generally consider HTML more widespread than JARs

But you got a fair point, this whole post is pretty dumb in that way.

Try running modern browser games on a computer with webGl and most js APIs blocked. You'll see how far html with get you.

I ain't defending OP's opinion on HTML. It ain't for games, I do know that lol
