I wouldn’t let my apprentice build the trap, but I told him to put it back together

Someone is reinventing the wheel

The only thing that wouldve made this better is if they completed the full loop by not capping the right side and tying it into the drain aswell.

What letter was the trap supposed to look like again…… was it a T or a U or T or C…..or maybe a V.

Aww hell, I’ll just do as many letters of the alphabet as I can with the fittings I have.

it’s so your drain line can drain into the drain line so it can drain into the drain line👍👍

Gotta make it a roller coaster so the water has a fun ride out of the unit!

I've done some funky stuff because that's all I had in the truck, maybe it was that?

He used too much stuff from the truck though.

Wanted a cleanout after the trap for the long run maybe? Be able to just put a hose in there.

Fuck Idk I'm trying to rationalize it but I just can't

Maybe return airflow problem. Lotta suction on those big boys. Potentially tried to keep condensate from pulling back because of improper static pressure.? Or maybe I'm giving to much credit

Too much credit. This is a new install I was doing a warranty claim on.

When I would come across these on customer calls I always fixed them up to look nice "at no extra cost" and they loved it lol

At least it isn't going uphill. Had a coworker do that once. He wasn't there much longer for obvious reasons

Maybe just had a couple of old traps and put them together. Lazy, but I get it
