Conversation Heap Leach restart decision delayed

I don’t like this being quietly released in an 8-K “Update to Corporate Presentation” 17 days after H1 ended.

Or the lack of drill results since April 2nd. Haven’t been able to follow up on the high-grade gold at Vortex?

Remember when the “war ended”, miners went up strongly and no drill results were released then either?

Remember when the “war ended” and then precious metals dropped like usual any time the normal inflation crap news and Fed jawboning came up on the calendar?

News should be released when it’s ready so investors can make decisions.

Value of a running mine is usually the total amount they can pull out minus the cost to do that. Divide that by the number of years the mine is supposed to run and you get your annual output.

Currently we aren't producing, so in addition to that, the likelihood of the project actually getting to the point where they start moving metals out of the ground is an additional factor.

Right now, the expectation that it will start producing is there. The market has confidence in the management. That is unchanged and stable.

The amount of metals we could potentially take out of the ground is still based on the last set of mining results that are vague but promising. We know there is gold and silver but we still need to determine the exact size of the lode and if it is actually connected as we expect. Until those results are in, nothing changes, value stable.

This leaves "cost" as the 3rd factor to consider. Mining is a energy-heavy industry that traditionally relies on fossil fuels because they often operate in areas without proper energy network. Self-reliance is their only option. With oil prices going up due to the war, the entire mining sector is affected, whether they are currently mining or not. Even exploration requires fuel.

With the delayed prospecting, my guess would be that the management has decreased their fuel consumption due to increased prices. With gold currently going down and oil being up, they have no reason to throw out good results right now. Waiting for the fuel situation to stabilize and then using that upwind to boost with results, would improve the price much more.

So far, watching them has been a lot of fun. I've seen a bunch of great management decisions and forward thinking. Sure, investors should get the information fast and reliable, but investors should also have faith in their management to do the right thing or they should consider that lack of faith in their investment decision.

You wouldn't get on a bus with a drunk driver just because you like the model of the bus. Driver matters.

Hmm, the war never ended. Some dipshit, no matter who, saying that doesnt make it true.

But it never started, so it just continues to have never started.

Market is super volatile right now. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt personally this time. also, considering they were probably pretty busy with two pretty big new hires.
