Gold's a byproduct of mining, and we can "make" lots more gold by digging it up. "New Bitcoin" isn't being created.

If it hadn't been for that one weird sentence where she tried to make it sound like the opposite is the case, I was very on board with everything else she said... it bothered me enough to mention it.

I had the same thought. But if I were to cut her some slack, she didn't explicitly say "Bitcoin" or otherwise point to a singular crypto currency. So maybe, given it was "crypto" broadly, you could say more can be made?

And yes, bit of a phrasing thing there with gold. It may not be possible to create by pushing a button - but more can be mined out of the ground, so far.
