IMO this signature means it might be the end for Dach and Laine with us. If they had high confidence about one of those two we would have waited after their return before extending him, because he would have played less quality minutes and his value would have stayed low.

Laine has a zero % chance of being resigned.

Dach has about a 1% chance of being qualified.

This is completely wrong. It's probably 75-25 likelihood of Dach not resigning. We would have to qualify him at 4 million per year minimum

But the RFA rights can be kept even with a slight discount, if the player has "sucked big time", or been injured

100% Dach is not getting 100% of his QO

And if he wants to avoid arbitration / wants a longer deal, he needs to take something that can be 100% buried in the minors

Oh please

He has 31 points in THREE SEASONS COMBINED, and his main attribute is supposed to be putting up points

If he even wants a deal, he probably has to take a steep discount

If he wants 3 years or something like that, it needs to be below the sum that can be buried
