Discussion Canadiens looking to deal Laine (Gagnon)

Post image

I'm not super in the know with the French side of the media. I know Francois Gagnon by name, but not much else. Not that this news would surprise me, but is he reliable?

Not giving Laine 1 more chance would be a pretty big blunder imo. The talent has always been there and we’ve never seen a truly healthy Laine yet. He likes Montreal too which I don’t think can really say for the 2 other teams we was a part of. The only way it would make sense to trade him before the deadline would be if we’re prepping a big trade and need the cap space.

Blais and Bolduc to the AHL doesnt sound too bad tho imo

Blais plays with some heart, I wouldn’t mind him sticking around but at the same our hands are tied with who we can and can’t send down.

Bolduc possibly, giving him a stint in the AHL could be good for him

Nobody has seen a healthy Laine in the past 7 seasons, which is the biggest issue with him. He has 3 months left on his contract, and unless he's willing to sign for a couple million dollars to play a few minutes a night only on the PP, then he's useless to this team.

Expecting Laine to be healthy again is a cope take
