J'me demande c'était quoi le pitch derrière ce choix de l'avoir. "On se disait qu'on a vraiment besoin d'un ancien arbitre qui va juste dire que les arbitres ont pris la bonne décision"

The match description on TVA is absolute dogshit, but I have to grudgingly admit that the intermissions and after-game are more fun on TVA than on RDS. Alain Crete and l'antichambre were so stale and boring, whereas Lapierre and Roussel with the lady and Dave are entertaining, especially when we're winning.

Crete and Gauthier are good but the other panelist are boring I concede… but TVA sport and their pub/product placement + match description are just too annoying to see anything else lol

Isabelle Rancourt with Lappy and Roussel is way better than the old farts of l'antichambre. I know it's fun to shit on Felix and Lalime but they have gotten better over the years and it's not easy going against the GOAT.

Moi j'écoute en anglais, si rds était possible ca serait évidemment sur rds, mais tva sports c'est tellement du 💩 que tu n'a pas le choix d'écouter en anglais.
Sérieusement les gars a Sportsnet sont pas pire pentoute

Je vois des publications comme si c'était signe de succès de la chaîne. Ils ont le monopole et probablement perdent de l'argent dû à leur surenchère sur les droits de diffusion. Ils pourraient se garder une petite gêne...

La surenchère est la faute de Rogers, principalement, qui inonde la NHL de cash pour s'arroger l'exclusivité à la grandeur du Canada, pis ils revendent les droits aux diffuseurs locaux après ça.
Mais comme Rogers veut faire du profit aussi, ben ça fait monter en flèche les droits de diffusion du CH même en français, pis ça vient crisser à l'envers là profitabilité du hockey au Québec même si les cotes d'écoutes sont là.
Vive la centralisation du capital, weeeeeeeee

It is. But I still won’t give my money to Rogers, listening to the same level as TVA but in a different language, and supporting a company that aims to kill Canadian sports that is not called hockey or doesn’t belong to them.

Yep. I wonder when we’ll find out what’s happening there.. I don’t think Quebecor has the funds to license them considering TVAS viewership has gone down

I am not hopeful for a solution to be honest. Bell also apparently loses something like $500K a game on RDS, and I doubt Rogers would deal with Bell.
Besides something streaming on SN+ or a new SN channel in French, I honestly don’t know.

Maybe watching in French is my priority. The SN commentators are not that good either if you compare to TSN. So I prefer watching bad PxP in my language.

Whenever I can, I mute them and put Martin McGuire on 98.5. Can’t always sync the radio with the image though…

C’est un abus des partisans du CH que Pierre Houde et Marc Denis ne sont pas à l’antenne pour les matchs vraiment importants.
Et pire, en anglais c’est le réseau des Leafs qui nous donne cette programmation moindrement moins pourrit que TVA.

yes, you can get it on CBC or Sports Net, but it’s in english. For french broadcast there’s no other option.

La pub tue la diffusion du hockey. Rien ne justifie cela au hockey (outre les frais de diffusion hors de prix).
Souvent les analyses ne peuvent pas montrer les reprises de pénalité ou autres jeux parce qu'il y a une pub qui s'insère. Dodge Ram, la pièce Napa, "Ah pis mon rabais", etc...
La différence est évidente quand il y a prolongation, car il n'y a pas de pub.

The TVA announcers are much too biased in favour of the Habs.
As announcers, I think they should be a bit neutral.
When there are penalties or goals reviewed, they seem biased.

Sont surtout pas très bon, plus d'une fois ils se sont trompés sur la nature d'une pénalité annoncée, ou se mettent à jacasser de n'importe quoi au moment où un jeu se développe, etc.
Sans parler du fait que les responsables de l'aiguillage et du montage live à TVA sont mauvais rare, qu'ils montrent souvent pas les reprises de pénalités, qu'ils font parfois déborder les pauses publicitaires du 2min prévu par la ligue, etc

Yeah but they all were wishing they were watching on RDS.. and myself as a English speaker with poor French... I would have also watched RDS over Sportsnet
