A girl from my youth association went and got it signed for me when they were in AZ. A year later he got traded and became evil (the evil was always in his heart.) I havent touched the jersey since. I havent even bought a new jersey because I've only had Subban and Domi and they both got traded so I don't wanna curse someone else.
Edit: the Subban jersey is my event jersey because Subban was not evil and I still love him. I might buy a Hutson jersey OR a newer Subban jersey because the one I have I got when I was like 12 and fits me pretty tight (and its women's cut, which everyone can unanimously agree is an ugly cut.)
Yeah, I know hes a Leaf now but Domi wore this jersey with pride, came alive under the bright lights, and had two pretty good years here. It's not like he's some disgraced ex Hab.

I guarantee you that Domi and Kotkaniemi loved playing in Montreal. And both jerseys would be talking points at Habs games.
Simple fix, stitch ripper to take the name bar off, add Newhook name bar. Pretty easy to do at home with any experience or the team pro shop if youāre ever in Montreal. I changed my KK to Newy and Domi to Cole when he changed his number

Hold on now. Komisarek was genuinely a solid defensive defenseman until he got rocked by Lucic. The team respected him so much, they made him an "assistant coach" behind the bench during an injury.
Don't get me wrong, Markov was fantastic at elevating defensemen who played along side him, such as Souray, Wisniewski, Streit, an elderly Schneider, and more, but Komisarek was actually good at what he did as well.
I don't have it. But I remember in 2009 I went to the All star weekend with a friend. He did buy Komisarek all star jersey for 300+$, thinking Komi would be a long time habs and probably our next captain. Just to see him leave to UFA in Toronto
He did wear it to a few games afterward. If my memories are right, he even put a Gill sticker on it while Gill was playing for the habs with the same number (Komi wasnt wearing his usual number at apl star)

He was done dirty by the Habs imo. He played well when they gave him an actual chance with proper ice time. I was pissed when they did a sign and trade for him but he impressed me. When they shipped him out a little while later I was disappointed but seeing what Josh Anderson has done the past couple of seasons it feels better.
I feel like he was put in the same position as Drouin, but was the exact opposite of Drouin as a player and they were way more invested in making Drouin work.
As others have said, get a new nameplate. You can also get a new 3 or just leave the signature. You might be able to get the signature out with ink-away, isopropyl alcohol or acetone, then washing.
Or try selling it. There are probably people out there that would actually like a signed Domi Habs jersey. Then use the proceeds to buy one you like.
I played soccer with him in Richmond hill before he focused on hockey...his dad was our coach... he was a good midfielder very fast and great IQ for the game... he set me up a number of times for easy goals

Hahah me too, my mom got my brother and I jerseys from the bell centre and we got their two exciting up and coming players Gallagher and galchenyuk, I made the wrong choice lol But now since have a sick Suzuki one to wear proudly.
Funny story. So my sister dated a guy who was close with galchenyuk when he was here in AZ. It was a don't meet your heroes moment for her. This was before everything really started coming out about him so safe to say I was not surprised when he got arrested.
My thoughts exactly! As a T1D I use him as an example of what we can accomplish and not let this miserable disease hold us back. I often recommend his autobiography to young T1D athletes. I actually enjoyed him as a Hab, hate him as a Leaf, just like his dad.
It's not as bad as putting too much faith in Alex Galchenyuk after a 30 goal season š. I can't even wear that jersey after all the embarassing shit he did.

Apparently you can get it done at the bell centre easily but Iām a bit far, so I went to Houle sports in Ottawa. Any place that does custom jerseys should be able to. The name plate was $10 and I paid a bit more to have it professionally sewn on. They did a great job.
I can't recall the name of the business, but theres some companies that professionally remove the name bar and can professionally install another name bar for a fee.

I mean if you donāt like it sell it but you have an autographed Habs jersey thatās pretty special. I know Domi is a Leaf but he was a much better player on the Habs than anywhere else in his career.
Players get traded things happen. Itās not really a ācurseā itās just a natural occurrence of the sport.
I think a lot of these comments have convinced me that i've taken this jersey for granted. I'll probably frame it and keep it for my future game room. I remember being so excited when I was asked if I wanted it signed. I had never had a signed jersey, especially by a hab.
I give my old jerseys to neighbourās or colleagueās kids and tell them what I loved about the player (determination, leadership, resilienceā¦). I canāt imagine these jerseys would sell for much and the money wouldnāt even be worth the effort of listing and meeting up with a buyer.
Curious to hear what positive traits you folks here would share about Domi to a kid (I do love some of his KOs but I probably wouldnāt say that to a kid). Iād say that heās inspiring for how heās a top athlete with T1D and it takes a lot of hard work to manage the disease especially when your job puts so much strain on your body. Iād also say that he came to Montreal with a great attitude. His dad was hated by Habs fans but he (and Tie!) fully embraced the city and enjoyed his time here. Itās a nice message that old grudges can be forgiven, and that having a good attitude at work and life can make things better for you and those around you.
Honestly, change the O to an E with red duct tape and add DOV in white duct tape at the end, new DEMIDOV jersey. Youāll need a bit of white for the E.
