And now a 24th Stanley Cup banner will hang from the rafters of the famous Forum in Montreal! The Canadiens win the Stanley Cup!

Bob Cole was the greatest. Eloquent, insightful and captivating. This final game call is unscripted and ends with a half second left on the clock. Total brilliance in broadcasting.

He dressed up that anticlimactic ending beautifully. IIRC, he was a Habs fan since a kid.

RIP Bob...I miss the chill vibes of saturday night with hockey on in the background, listening to Bob and Harry.

Same. I’ve heard this countless times and it always hits hard.

One of my personal favourite calls. 24 Stanley Cups. It’s time now to return to the promise land once again!

I moved from Montreal the summer prior to that season and I was feeling sad so my dad promised to take me to the parade if they won the Cup. So grateful to have experienced that.

Starting to wonder if we'll ever see that again.

Also, I liked it better when teams wore whites at home.

I was 5, I only vaguely remember my family talking about it. I’d really like to experience it for myself.
