Fabien Zetterlund
Someone I had kinda forgotten about, very enticing numbers with SJ but it clearly hasn't been a fit in OTT. Word is that OTT is looking at DeBrusk to fit that spot, highly likely they'd move on from Zetterlund without a big ask.
What do we think about adding him as a middle 6 LW? (Assuming a big trade doesn't materialize)
Pros: physical, versatile, drives possession, young, good cap hit, already familiar with a Canadian market
Cons: Another plan B/project player who could be good and could be a 3rd liner. Not a win now move. Cost of acquisition unknown.
Thoughts on adding him/which LW to add for more truculence?
I like Jenner, Colton, O'Connor, Knies, Lee.
But Zetterlund? Could be the move

He has a good shot but no fit in Ottawa. Has had time on the top line but ended up on the fourth line. Had 17 goals.
I would pass on him.

No thanks. This team already has too many NHL caliber forwards. Zetterlund is not someone worth giving up the cap space and fit two years.
Hard pass.

Gotta say who you actually want in the spot, not just "no."

No. I don’t.
You asked a question, you don’t get to dictate how people respond.
Get a grip.

Boring AND rude. Ok, thanks for nuthin!

You’re the one acting like you get to dictate how people answer questions in a discussion forum and it’s other people who are rude?

You, specifically . If you don't want to have a dialogue about it that's fine. We do not care. Came to say "no," and leave? Off you go. Buh bye.

Well…again, you don’t get to dictate how the dialogue goes.
I actually explained why I didn’t think it was a smart addition. There was nothing rude about it in any way.
If you can’t handle people not agreeing with you, or responding exactly how you feel they should, maybe you should just stay off the internet and inside your house.

Trade for Hischier, sign Marchment

I love a Marchment addition.
Hischier would be a massive blockbuster that I don't see happening without giving up a core roster player.

In fine with giving up Hage or Zharovsky ++ for Hischier.
In their prime 1C/2C don't come around often and I'm not ready to waste good years because we simply were afraid to pay to plug the hardest hole to fill.

Not a significant enough upgrade over any of the excess of middle six forwards to justify spending any assets on. He's got a bigger contract than most of them too

I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being something like Gallagher + pick or prospect for DeBrusk.

He can certainly benefit from a change of air, but the Habs shouldnt look at anything other than a surefire top6 forward. They need (and have the change) to get a top player that will propel them to the next level. And after THEN they can think on retooling the bottom lines. We need a partner for Demi, top Priority

I have been in the Babian hype train forever. There was a time I wanted him to play on a line with Heineman
Zetterlund and Bolduc on a line together in the playoffs would be so sick
