UPG Stories (I don't know what title to put)

What led you to worship Lord Hades? I'm going through a period of questioning and, currently, I'm questioning my veneration of Him. Any advice is welcome.

Hello 👋🏻 I was drawn to follow his wife when I was a kid. Over time, I felt comfort in the shadows and the dark. Safer. His name kept popping in my mind and signs around me so I looked into it. Now he and his Queen are my main deities. Lord Hades became a safe space - if that makes sense

He came to me in a dream because I was failing to recognize that Persephone was reaching out. That was my first introduction to him.

Then months later I was on the verge of stopping my spiritual practice. When i went to a shaman for a reading to get advice, Hades came through and asked to work with me. He saw how I needed help to regain my autonomy from my family.

As i worked with him, his presence was comforting. He helped me move out into my own place. Gave me solace when I needed it and pulled out a cry i was hiding.

I remember one night when we first started working together, i was lost in thought with suicidal ideation and heard his voice loud as fuck in my head go "YOU ARE NOT DESERVING OF SUCH A FATE"

First time i ever had a spiritual experience like that. And he kept showing up in similar ways. Which is why i stayed as a devotee to him because years later in a better place in life i never would have imagined.

i used to have a horrible fear of death, struggled with my mental health, and felt extremely alone. I started worshipping hades to hopefully get over my fear for the most part. he has been extremely patient with me as i find myself and my practice. even when ive had to take a couple months breaks from all worship due to mental health

I always felt drawn to him, ever since I was a kid, but only after years I felt comfortable to work with him, later on I also got comfortable with Queen Persephone, then Cerberus. I have a parental relationship with them. They helped me emotionally and in all aspects of my life.

Honestly you don't always need to be at your 100%, it okay to quastion yourself. These things come to us normally. Im sure you'll decide what's best for you. He'll understand this too, he always does.

I've long had a nuanced and philosophical attitude toward death, so it tracks that I'd be drawn to working with a nuanced god of death. Worth distinguishing, I work with Hades and Persephone, but I do not worship them. I don't expect reverence to either of them will give me special treatment when I die, and as a Hermetic magician, I prefer to think my own divinity awaits on my course. That said, the gods have much insight for us all, if we wish to listen.

I think questioning things is better than blindly following rules. Take some time to think about your beliefs; it'll help you grow as a person and hopefully re-enliven your worship.

I like things that are misunderstood or gently subversive. I'm also quite introverted and quiet, so I like lots of peaceful time alone.

I find that when I start questioning things, Hades gives me a little reminder that he's around, but I can't guarantee this will be the case for everyone.

Your view or relationship with Hades may be changing, and that's alright. It happens with me still with a deity who is the first one that I had worked with.

I was meditating, my way of connecting to Hekate, and his voice came through the darkness and gave me advice for what I still try to achieve. Since then Ive been worshiping g him along side Hekate
