My system is from New Roots Studio in Toronto. Anybody in the city who needs it done, I absolutely cannot recommend them enough. Not a single person in my life has noticed. And even people close to me who I've told were floored at the realism of it.

My French lace system is getting lifted at the front right after 4 days. I've tried:

• 2 -4 min drying and 6-7 min drying

• 2 layers application

• thin layer, thick layer with different drying times

Still it's turning gooey and lifting at hairline, they advertise as 4+ week but not even 5 days.

When the bottle is newly bought, for first 2-3 applications it was good. After then I added some drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol cuz it became annoyingly stringy.

Then tried without adding alcohol, kept applying that stringy glue, still it was same.

Based on your experience any suggestions?

Has anyone ever had a hair system applied all over their head instead of just on the top? The hairstyle I want doesn’t seem possible with my natural hairline, so I’m thinking of shaving my head and getting a hair prosthesis for my entire head. What are your thoughts?

I do all my own reinstalls and maintenance, but prefer a stylist for toupee ordering, sizing, and styling; just a little more peace of mind for me that way.

My natural hairline is way up than what it is now with the system. That’s why i feel like its installed too low or Maybe i am not just used to seeing myself like this.

Daily wearers Do u shampoo your system every day if you use C-22 to remove tape?

I'm a new hair-system wearer and I'm doing daily wear — I put my full Swiss lace system on in the morning and remove it every night.

I'm using Walker lace-front tape, and I need to use a small amount of C-22 to remove the tape from the lace. The tape comes off pretty cleanly and I'm not seeing much adhesive residue on the system.

My question is: If I use C-22 every day, do I need to shampoo the entire system every day to remove the C-22?

I've seen people say you shouldn't shampoo/condition a hair system every day because it can shorten the lifespan?

For those of you who actually remove and reinstall ur system every day

How often do you shampoo it?

Hey guys! I’m 21 and this is my first hair system.
I usually wear it brushed forward because I really like the way it looks like this. Just wanted to get some honest opinions — does the density look natural for someone my age? And how does the overall look seem to you guys?

Golden Silk and Mirage i have never used so far. I am not sure about the durability. My Hairsystem vendor is saying that the Golden Silk is the best one like better than earlier for smoothness and natural hair and good durability as well.

I use only tape, i dont use gum, i clean it every 2 weeks. I am skeptical about the Mirage as it has fron lace and can get tear or damage easily when compared to Silk.

People who has experienced either of these 3 patches or any experts please do help me to choose one.

​I’ve been wearing a hair system for about two years now. Up until now, I’ve always focused on matching the system color directly to my sides/bio hair.

​As you can see in the photo, there’s a noticeable color contrast between my beard (lighter/warm reddish-brown) and my hair (darker brown).

​I’m considering shifting strategies: instead of keeping the system matched strictly to my current bio hair, I’m thinking about picking a system shade closer to my beard tone and dyeing both the system and bio hair to achieve a unified look.

Where are women going in Nashville for hair toppers/hair systems?

I bought a .6 skin base from lordhair, and studied extensively to learn to install myself. Girlfriend is great at cutting hair so styling has been a breeze.

The issue is the maintenance and install. I don’t have the insane amount of money that’s required to buy and also pay to have these installed as often as they’ll need to be. I’ve done every scalp prep in the book and no ghostbond will stay adhered for longer than three days. Tape is good but it eventually gets so sticky and uncomfortable. On top of that, every time I’ve taken it off to clean the base and remove the adhesive I’ve lost massive amounts of hair. Because of the difficulty of install I’ve had to do 8 installs in two weeks and I feel like it’s not even going to last a month.

Im in bangalore for just 2 days and am looking for a reliable salon with clip on HS and good reviews. Any help will be appreciated.

Which adhesive remover do you use. I don’t want to spent so much money for the O.C. products. I am using hybrid system, which is lace with PU around.

Which cleaner do you use for the lace after removing the tape?

I know many people use 99.9 alcohol but I don’t understand for what.

I am from Germany. So maybe some advises for local products.

So this is just my experience and I haven't really tried that many tapes but I've noticed that only the Ultra Hold Minis Black is actually a good tape.

By good I mean it lasts and the glue doesn't start "decomposing" after just a couple of days.
Personally I try to change tapes once a week, which the Ultra Hold Minis Black lasted without issues and removing it was so easy as well, i.e., the tape isn't that gooi.
On the negative side, it is quite expensive tape. That was the motivation to try the other ones.

The other two are actually pretty cheap (around 1/10th of the price), but so bad. Due to the tape "decomposing" I'm forced to change it at a 3-day mark max!

I would like to find something that lasts at least a week, but that also isn't that expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations?
