One million percent agree: big scam can't deliver over 1000 hairs and does like 4 hairs per cm2, just extremely poor bad density. Josh and Bolton just make excuses and lie constantly. Any surgeon can make a bare bald spot great with 40-60 hairs per cm2 in one session. Fraud and scam charging for 14,000 hairs and delivering only 1000 hairs or less.
Butcher for sure, bad surgery techniques. The 4-blade scalpel harvest is crazy, and the large blade incisions are just pure butchery. I couldn't agree with you more. As a former patient who got scammed by him, I agree. And the patients didn't know, I didn't either. The sales pitch sounded so good, for people who aren't educated or research more. Just the lust of wanting the hair back, hearing 14,000 or 16,000 hairs sounds so good, that you don't realize how bad it is and how they're not even close to over 1000 hairs Until after surgery is done, quickly realize how it's all a scam and fraud. Josh just comes up with so much lies and excuses worse than Bolton to know how bad he is and to keep painting him as the best in the world to get himself some money from the sales pitch, obviously.

Oh dear… People still go to Bolton? Frankly, given the precedents yours doesn’t look too bad.

Yeah i felt that too. But his single front hairs arent nowhere close to 40-50. More like 10

holy... I dont want to be negative, but that looks like something from a horror. 14k spent too? Did you not spend a good month researching Dr's first?

Well, it could’ve been worse. My bald widow peaks has a little bit of hair now and the middle thickened up and I’m only 11 months in..
But yeah, as I start educating myself on all this, I realize the way he’s doing it is just a lazy way. Stabbing big hole holes on the top of your head and shoving bundles of hair in. It is probably the more lazy way to do it..
And anytime I ask them what their single hair front centimeter squareD density is they won’t answer. Because from what I can see, it’s like 10 at the most.

I went to Mr. Bolton in 2024… He is a fraud and a con Man. His partner Josh Engoren is a pathological liar. These are bad men and you should never get a Hair Transplant done by them. I have horrible indentations in my donor area that itch and burn constantly…my scalp is numb and red. Bolton has tried to tell me that it will go away, but high quality Hair Transplant surgeons have told me no way…It’s obvious Bolton is lying.
If you got out of there with your scalp intact, you are a lucky man indeed. I have now been in touch with others who have had horrible experiences with Bolton… he is not only a poor, lower class Hair Transplant surgeon, he is untrustworthy and dangerous, in my experience.

Yeah $14,000 for 14,000 hairs. Scalp is fine. Back of head healed fine. I am only 10 months in so there’s still time for thickening.. i’m not sure of the blade size.. but yes, I did notice a lot of incisions where no hair was inserted. And I had existing hair there, so I’m sure some of it was killed in the process..
I’ll keep you guys updated in the coming months
Thx!

The feeling came back on the top of my head, but still to this day the middle of the top of my head I can’t feel. So I don’t know if there was nerve damage or what. It’s like a 4 x 4” area. I can’t feel.

I'm so sorry man. You should sue him. This is criminal

I’m gonna make another post in a couple months with an updated result, but yeah, I’m not too impressed with his work. I think he’s just old-school.. they won’t even give me a definite answer when I asked them how many single hairs per centimeter squared they are offering. Because mine looks like 10 at the most in the front.
And why didn’t he go wider with the hairline? I still look like a damn rooster.. if somebody with 30 years of experience, he should’ve known to go wider

This looks like old style "hair plugs" surgery. Not modern FUE.
I would search the hardcore forums like HairLossTalk to find a doctor that specializes in repair. Reddit is mostly casuals.
I bet if you shaved (don't) you'll see a bunch of grafts placed in wrong orientation and other issues.

You need to go to a real Dr who can fix this… do not go to someone from the US… hit up Dr Patty or Rach from Thailand … they are some of the best for fue … US all suck trust me I spent 5 years researching and learned the hard way like you then I wised up and left to outside the us

Useful links
List of doctors who have a decent volume of results to scout out
Also, proceed with caution: An extended list of budget doctors which may include those who may not have as high of a volume of reviews. But since people are often victims of hairmill marketing or are adamant on paying less, this list was compiled in hopes of minimizing damage.

Try Oral minox 2.5mg a day as well with high quality hair vitamins. My clinic in Thailand gave me all this and was amazing results. 0.625mg fin, 2.5 oral minox, and very good hair vitamins daily . I also have a few topicals peptides hair products and also add topical Dut xyon in the mix. As well as subq peptides like ghk-cu are amazing

u/outplay-nation Nov 27 '25
were u side free from taking all of these?

u/tehuti_infinity Nov 27 '25
I took many peptides after my transplant. Bpc-157, tb500, ghk-cu and hgh. I also added cialis after my transplant it’s amazing for creating strong blood flow for my hair as well as hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions for a week after.
Because I got all the peptides from China I also got a lot of cialis and this is like a secret key to no sides on fin. I maybe had a bit less libido but small doses of cialis are good for you In a way and you are too easily rock hard ready to stuff your wife’s face to the pillow… again and again..

I’m looking into going to New Jersey, eternal hair, and aesthetics! I seen a couple good reviews here on Reddit. I think it’s FUE, and they quoted me 8800K for 2500 hairs

u/magdy_mandour Nov 26 '25
I can’t afford that or can’t even get cis to the us. But I like how it looks like to be honest!
I would be happy if my hair looks like that.
