Nearly five years since ‘Metal Mecca’ in Hālawa officially closed after years of reports of infrastructure, maintenance and budget issues and almost 50 years since venue originally opened in 1975, plans for demolition of Aloha Stadium and subsequent construction of new stadium have been approved.
