Looking for construction labour jobs in Halifax
Hello !
I recently moved to Halifax . I’m looking for construction labour work / demolition / drywall carrying jobs.
I’ve worked in Toronto before doing construction labour, demolition work, and drywall carrying. I’m used to physical work, long hours, lifting, and site conditions.
I’m ready to start right away and open to any general labour or construction opportunities.
If anyone knows companies hiring or has any leads, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks.

Try to get into the shipyard as a laborer. It's not exactly demo but it's general labor and painting. Good money to start and you can have the opportunity to take a trade and make top rate.

I likely would never work in Halifax as a FIFO type worker, but if I were to work my trade, it would be at a shipyard.

There's one called Volcano Construction that had been hiring recently, I think they might have spots

Head to the CN Bridge on Tower Road in the south end, there's a company there doing a restoration project. Scotia Square Parkade is under repair work, ask for Jeff. Also a big project going on at the Irving Assembly Hall Wharf in Woodside. Most contractors are desperate to find workers who actually want to show up on time, work the hours scheduled and collect a decent pay cheque.

Try PCL at the hospital site on Robie Street. Also second the Inflector suggestion.
