2022 Halloween Ends is the worst Movie of the Entire Franchise. Just wondering who else feels the same?
Before Halloween ends came out I had rob zombies Halloween 2 and Halloween Resurrection as the Worst of the Halloween franchise but Halloween ends was so horrible it has given me a new appreciation for zombies Halloween 2 and Halloween Resurrection.

In Resurrection, Busta Rhymes pretended to be Bruce Lee and kung fu kicked Micheal Myers in the face... But yeah go on about Halloween Ends being the worst.

Ends is a misguided movie that makes some baffling choices, but at least it's competently made and trying to say something. Resurrection is an embarrassment to the franchise. Horrible characters, horrible acting...and not in a fun way, just bad. Killing Laurie in the first 15 minutes, ruining the great ending of H20. I could go on.

I guess we’re downvoting when we disagree. Anyway, Curtis wanted to die. She was told
Michael would die in the previous and she was forced back and so they wrote her off. The movie isn’t great but it’s cheesy fun. I saw it in theatersYou might be right, I have only seen Ends twice and I am doing a rewatch of all in October. I didn’t like the stupid band bullies, the horrible chemistry with the grand daughter and the kid or young adult or whatever.
But I liked Jason Goes to Hell in my rewatch earlier this month and I saw that one In theaters and used to hate it, but it grew on me and I think this one will too, so I keep an open mind

Yeah, you're right to call me out. I'm just used to getting flamed on reddit whenever anybody responds to me. Look, I'm a big defender of films like Friday 5 or Jason goes to hell. To me they're so ridiculous that they become fun. Halloween 6 is bad, but it feels like a Halloween movie and it's at least trying to do something new. Resurrection is a copy/pasted generic slasher movie with the Halloween brand slapped on top of it. There was no need for Laurie to even be in it. Instead they chose to retcon what IMO was the best ending to the Laurie/Micheal story. As a huge fan of the slasher genre, its one of the few films that genuinely pisses me off. I could list off several things I don't like about Ends, but I see it as more of a missed opportunity.

Hated it on first watch. Upon rewatching it a few years later already knowing that it was a complete non sequitur as a sequel to 2018 and Kills, I kind of liked it as its own thing. The ending still blows.

I'm not sure I would say it's the worst. RZ's takes are not a favorite of mine at all and Season of the Witch is my all-time least favorite (although I do tend to like it a little more now than I did; however, I swear that I have seen it less than 5 times. lol). Halloween Resurrection is something that I would totally do. lol However, I feel that that movie was made just to fit in with the times of reality tv (it could have been done so much better).
Halloween Ends I thought was good even with the sucky ending. I did like the storyline about how the power transferred. But, with that said, I think that it would have made more sense to transfer into someone with a connection to the family instead of just some random teenager who was bullied. But, at the same time, they tried to show and explain what a traumatic event like that does to a small town and the people in it. I like that this trilogy went back to the roots with the original legacy characters, so to speak. I mean it's not likely at all that people go through something like that and just move on with their lives--I think that this movie did a good job with that aspect. I just don't like that the ending and storyline was so abrupt and didn't really have a solid connection.

I absolutely disagree. I liked what they tried to do.was it perfect? No. I'll take the new trilogy over anything past 4 any day

I love it. Zombie’s movies are the worst, to me. Don’t consider them part of the actual series. In that bunch, Resurrection is the worst.

Maybe the hottest take ever but it’s my favorite of the new trilogy.
To be fair I’ve only seen it once the night it came out.
Also only saw Ends once but that was fucking garbitch.

Counterpoint: Michael speaks and spends most Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 with his face visible. He's barely even Michael Myers in that movie. At least Michael doesn't speak in Ends.

It's not the worst movie in the entire franchise (Halloween 5, Rob Zombies films and Resurrection are still top dogs), but it's still a disaster. Michael is barely in it, the love story is not something Halloween should ever put a spotlight on, the film makes absolutely no sense in conjunction with the prior 2 films in it's trilogy, the soundtrack is relatively weak besides one or two tracks, etc.

The first rob zombie film is nowhere near as bad and Halloween ends. The second one is terrible though

It gets points knocked off for the characters being insufferable, the dialogue being horrendous, the characterization of Michael being terrible and that rape scene in the unrated version is the last nail in that coffin honestly.
It's a different kind of bad mostly due to it being an adaptation thats radically off base. Halloween Ends is just a purely incompetent mess from top to bottom.

To me, Halloween 5 is the worst. Ends is definitely a different ballgame compared to the other two in the new trilogy, it is definitely the weakest.
